A forum dedicated to The Gaslight Anthem - Brian Fallon says: ''For consistent and up to the minute stuff, Dimestore Saints is a great place to check out and hang with some really nice people.''
Okay. Another one of those great folk singersongwriters like Ragan, Hause or Turner. But this time not from USA or UK, but Holland. The name was somewhat familiar to me before, but after I watched this years Groezrock (which Im propably going) and I saw his name, I said to myself "lets listen something from him". First song that I listened was Four Wheels And A Six String. What a song, what a lyrics and what a voice! I was hooked right away. He sure has his own voice and own kinda style to tell stories. You can listen Road Sweet Road here: http://timvantol.bandcamp.com. And a great Against Me! cover: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYKx5N_n1Ck

Have anybody here listened the new record (If We Go Down, We Go Together)? I think its great and alot better than the first record. Well maybe not alot, but Road Sweet Road had some really great songs on it, but its kinda same song the whole record or something. IWGDWGT has more diversity and songwriting is still awesome. Hands Full Of Dust is propably my favorite song at the moment. I rather end up in hell with many of my friends, than lay down in heaven with full of regrets. I also saw him live at Groezrock (Belgium punkrock/metal festival). Damn it was a good show! These also a video for Bitter Morning Taste:

I like Tim Vantol a lot. He's also a really nice guy. I saw him with his band in Madrid and it was more than awesome. I do like more the first album, by the way!
Here you can listen to a cover of your favourite song by two other good songwriters:

Gonna see Tim again tonight in Düsseldorf! I'm lucky, he lives close to where I live so he is playing in my area quite often.

Great performer and storyteller! I met him a couple of times this summer. My band and he were on the same festival three times, so we kinda got to know each other. Very genuine man who wears his heart on his sleeve. His touring manager is awesome as well, he plays the banjo and is a real fun lad!
Cheers!

His voice sounds like a mix of Chuck Ragan and Frank Turner. Good music.
