A forum dedicated to The Gaslight Anthem - Brian Fallon says: ''For consistent and up to the minute stuff, Dimestore Saints is a great place to check out and hang with some really nice people.''
And this is why I go to shows alone. Or at least provide my own transportation.
I watched the Grammys. Despite the constant bitching on Twitter from Spin or BrooklynVegan, I thought some of it was pretty cool.
I don't get that. Asking for money because of your own mistakes?
Granted England is a lot smaller than the USA, but I'm following a band around, got a couple of 5 hour journeys. If I miss my train or it gets cancelled I'd be £80 / $150 out of pocket but I've planned ahead for in so I can cover it just in case. I've also bought insurance on my tickets so I can get my money back if that happens. If you've got 2 kids then you've got to consider this before you go, consider what could go wrong and is it worth it. Surely that'd be a no.

@bringiton Yeah I don't get it when people live that close to the edge financially for a road trip if they've got kids. I would love to know why this girl left her stranded.

Yeah. I want to know why that happened more than anything. If there's no good reason, I'd probably feel a bit bad. But not bad enough to donate.
I mean, you don't assume the friend you fly out to see a show with is going to completely uproot and leave ya'. If it was someone you knew in the city through social networks, that'd probably be different.

Well from a quick explanation on Twitter, it sounds like the two girls had some kind of drama and the girl left to go back to Nashville (which is 8 hours away from Fayetteville according to Google Maps).
Once I was at a show and gave a girl a ride to her hotel that was 45 min. out of my way because her friend got drunk-mad at her and left her at this show that was in the middle of nowhere. And of COURSE the girl stranded didn't have cash for a cab and didn't want to be alone with a cab driver for that long since she was dressed like a groupie and it was about 2am. I mean, her friend just drunk drove off and left her at the venue and apparently didn't tell her til she was already on the road. Girls can be bitches!

I almost left a girl in Pittsburgh at a Springsteen show and hopped on a plane back home.
In hindsight...I probably should have

Ya know, I've started having this mantra of "Shows before bros" but in your case I think you can switch it to "Ho's"
I will have to hear this girl-in-Pittsburgh story obviously.

Yes, which Springsteen in Pittsburgh show was it? I may have been there.

Hey Jimmy, did you give your mom that Springsteen Christmas present you were talking about with the framed concert ticket/picture?

hi guys, does anyone remember a discussion about earplugs at gigs? I'm sure there was one on here in a random thread but I can't find it anywhere
