| I looked to see if this was already posted but couldn't find it. From the official site yesterday:
THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM
We are playing on Conan this Thursday, December 6. Tickets are all gone but if you're really dying to go you can try to get stand-by tickets. They're not guaranteed, but we hear there's a good chance. For Standby Tickets, come to the 2nd floor of the Gate 8 Warner Brothers parking structure* (6564 Forest Lawn Dr., Los Angeles, CA 90068 [MAP]) at 10am on the morning of the taping you'd like to attend. A member of our staff will distribute tickets at 10am and give you a time to return by to see ...

| It's all sold out anyway. I'm very privileged to be going because I have a friend who's working for them right now and he got me a ticket. | |

| Hahaha. I may have missed all those shows back home but it's nice to get a little something even though I'm out here. I'm very lucky in that regard! And it's literally the afternoon before I fly home! To think I almost booked a plane ticket that evening. | |

| Just got back from the Conan taping! They were great, as expected. Brian's voice sounded a little worn out (shocker) but definitely solid. The crowd seemed completely clueless as to who they were, but I did meet one other person who was a fan and got tickets the same way I did. Also, it might look better on TV, but poor Ian was like squeezed in directly behind Alex L. Oh and they played Here Come My Man. | |

There's nothing wrong with having that opinion. I mean, (disregarding acoustic versions which I love) it's probably my least favorite song of theirs so I getcha. I like the second half of it a lot but the syncopated part drives me nuts. And I usually like syncopation. But something about it makes me really tense but not in a good "tension-release" kinda way. I always just want them to get past that part. Lyrically I think the song is great though. - azlisa wrote:

i don't have real cable, just around >20 channels! hmm, I guess that just comes down to which ones your cable provider happens to give you. I had less than 20 at school and I still got tbs. that's why I was surprised. it'll show up on the internet though i'm sure.

TeamCoco typically posts the full episode the next day as well as various segments. I assume there wasn't an exclusive extra song they performed? They've done that before for online with various other groups.

| I also wished that they'd play something else than HCMM. At least Rosamalia's backup vox are getting better. | |

| Nope, no extra song.
I really wish the US got Handwritten as a single like the UK did. I'd rather hear that one all the time.
And yeah both Alexa have clearly been workin hard to make their vocals a lot better. It's awesome, I'm happy for them. For awhile I was pretty convinced Levine's mic wasn't actually on. Especially when he was singing literally a foot away from me and I couldn't hear him.

| Vocals were really rough...especially tell tale by Brian's facial expressions during the harder notes.
Like everyone else, wish the new single was Howl or Blue Dahlia (which I can't understand for the life of me was a bonus track). HCMM was brilliant in the studio, and so it should stay.

| vocals weren't the best at all for that, and Alex kinda just sounded really really random when he sung, don't get me wrong I have no problem with Alex singing, it was just really random and weak compared to other shows they've done for tv. (just my option ) | |

I think that was the mix, Alex's vocals fit fine live. Whoever said this song drags live, I agree. I've never heard of a band releasing a bonus song as a single but I think it might not be a bad idea for them to make an exception. I really think Blue Dahlia could get somewhere.

| Definitely not their best performance. I agree with whoever said 'Handwritten' would have been a better single in the U.S also. | |
