I'm not sure that means they are targeting that specific demographic...As the saying goes, no such thing as bad publicity...but a quick scan of Leno's recent guests does target some older demographics, but still Carly Rae Jespen, fun., offspring, One Republic, nikki minaj, beiber, we are augustines, need to breathe have performed and those aren't all 50 + demo

they played Leno 2 years ago. this is not them targeting any demographic now.

Publicity is publicity.... and who knows, maybe one of those older folks will want the CD...

sorry being tongue in cheek about it, i just figured if they're out in California why not be on Conan which is skewed to a younger demographic. Then i looked at the rating and realized Leno and Jimmy Fallon tied for #1 in ratings for late night talk shows

If you read the comments on their facebook post about it, it's kind of a tie between people complaining about it being Leno and about them playing HCMM. Personally I never liked the idea of HCMM as the single but since it is the single I think it'd be weird if they were like "okay we're actually playing Keepsake" or something.

As for Leno, who cares, he's got lots of viewers, it's publicity, maybe Conan would have been better for young people but sometimes it's a timing thing. They're kind of squeezing this in while they're on the west coast. Maybe Conan wasn't available to them this time. The people who are like "I can't bare to watch Leno, I'll go on youtube" though are being melodramatic.

Yeah, something like a livestream (which is working in Germany too ) or so would be pretty cool..can anybody help us out? Not knowing if I'll be awake until then eventhough..it's going to get really late

I'm pretty sure Leno is on at some point in Canada, I just don't know which network and whether or not it's live... Anyone have a clue?

Some people really really don't like him for some reason. He's not my favorite late night host but I don't think he's the worst either.

I think his monologue at the beginning is usually decent. He has a couple great segments that he does sometimes. One's called "Jay-walking" where he asks people really easy trivia on the street and they don't know the answers. Another is called "headlines" and it's all typos in newspapers and stuff that are usually pretty funny. All in all it's a half hour show, 5 minutes of which will be dedicated to TGA so it's not like you'd be wasting your life to watch it.

Okay, thanks.. we'll see if I'm that crazy to stay up another five hours in case my time calculatio is right) - already 00.32 am in Germany (I've got weekend though)

People don't like Leno because of what he did to Conan with the time slot fiasco a few years ago.

also people some people don't like how he got the Tonight Show instead of Letterman, who i believe was Johnny Carson's choice. there is some story involving the switchover that doesn't look favorably on Leno.

They were really good last night. Really good. About all I can say, really. Just great stuff.

^THAT. They were really solid. I'm still not convinced this will go anywhere as a single (but what do I know) but I do enjoy the song and that was one of the best performances I've seen of it.

That was a good performance. Not their best, but definatly not their worst. I remember the last time they were on Leno and they sucked what I remember. Lot of fans dislike HCMM...would it bring some new people to like their music since its different? Who knows. I like i and it is IMO best single quality beside 45 and Handwritten.

where the hell is the 12-string?!?

really took away from the song IMO along with Ian's absence.
