Searched for a topic and didn't find one. Kind of surprising, actually, especially given Brian's recent (vocal) affinity for them and especially Jesse. I literally just got into these guys, but I can't believe I didn't before. Fucking amazing, I'd say. What say ye?

definitely one of my top 5 bands, I have been a fan since their first release. The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me is one of my favourite albums.

BIG fan of Brand New, not mad keen on their first effort although I think its got some good songs on. The Devil and God... is one of my top 10 albums, its got such a beautiful flow to it. Need to see them live at their own show, saw them at Leeds festival 2009 and the sound tech coupled with the fact I was blind drunk meant it wasn't exactly memorable at all.

Loved Your fave weapon, but didn't get into more after that. Dare I say, I was more of Taking Back Sunday fan, Tell All Your Friends, of course.

I said this in the other thread on this topic, but I really don't actually like this cover. The original has so much raw passion and emotion and this (to me) just sucks the life out of the song.

I happen to have some signed Brand New stuff I might be willing to part with if anyone has some cool Gaslight stuff to trade. I have a signed poster from a record store that burned down here on Long Island. The show was a benefit show and I have a signed copy of the devil and god, also from the same record store's instore. PM if you're interested, we can talk.

I would probably pay good money for that Devil and God album but I have nothing to trade.

I don't follow brand new that much, theyre my twin sisters favorite band so I've seen them quite a bit and they grew up in my hometown like minutes from me. Everyone here knows a member of brand new or the Lacey family. I know they have a crazy diehard fan base, I have no idea how much this stuff even goes for.

Yes. I met them the night before it was released. Not sure about Derrick, I don't know what his deal is. I just know he's there sometimes. I'll look when I get home.

I was meant to see them at Reading Fest in England last year. Pissed off that they pulled out as I really wanted to catch them. Worst of all, they were replaced by some rap guy/band (I'm not really sure.) Earlwolf? I want to say Earlwolf. Either way, point is I was pissed and you have succeeded in making me jealous.

yeah sorry man! haha
but i was going to see them last year, too - and then they canceled the whole tour (which was the same reason they didn't show up at Reading i think) So yesterday was a make up of this 2013 concert.
And it totally compensated for my being pissed off last year!

I like it but it doesn't feel like it's from a new record. Almost has a "coulda been from the leaked demo era" kind of sound. This band has waited way too long to release a new album. I'm still excited to hear what they've done, I just feel that other bands have more steps moving forward and Brand New allowed themselves to fall behind. That's frustrating as a big fan.
