One of the first scenes of Nightmare on Elm Street must have been hell for you... i haven't seen that movie in a long time, i don't remember the scene you're referring to. The bit with Freddy dragging his hand along the pipe.. okay i just cringed. ick.

I have a very bad feeling that joining this forum is going to lead me to getting a record player and a vinyl collection, which I can't afford, especially after spending all my money on TGA tix. The sooner you get into it the better. I've probably spent more money than I'd care to know on OOP records. I used to listen to a lot of metal, which seems to get ridiculously expensive when it's out of print.
At the very least, if you care about limited runs, buy them now, listen later! Records are the best! Music just can't sound that good coming from a CD player or iPod. It loses some of its magic. Paddy, let me know if you like Handwritten better on vinyl when you get around to listening to it.

Will you wear cotton clothes, or is it just cotton balls/q-tips that gross you out? (sorry if the question is grossing you out, I'm just really curious!) it's okay, i can handle it
i can wear cotton. it's just cotton balls/Q-tips that i can't take. for me it's like the physical equivalent of nails on a chalkboard. it makes me cringe and shudder, it's almost painful.
i was really surprised when i realized no one else i knew had the same reaction to it! I have that reaction to stickiness from tape, Band Aids, kids' goobery fingers, etc. I can't handle it. Thank goodness for compulsive hand washing! blame it on the O-O-O-O-O-OCD ?? Haha, Milli Vanilli meets psychology! Yep, that's the sensory part of it for me. That and having to feel symmetrical.

Paddy, let me know if you like Handwritten better on vinyl when you get around to listening to it. Haha, I dunno if that'll change my mind. I love the album and all, just 59 and Sink Or Swim take the cake for me. <3 I've put it on though and 45 just ended.

That's why I crank it LOUD to compensate, and ruin my hearing, and make stupid comments about going deaf in the earplug thread

I've put it on though and 45 just ended. I get what you're saying. SOS is my least favorite, but I still love it. I honestly love every TGA/THC song.

| I love the packaging for Handwritten though. 180gram is just sooooo superior. Wish more people would use it. Only have a handful of releases on it. | |

That's just a myth though..it's all down to mastering. It certainly feels better to handle (oooooerrrr)

With you on the symmetry. It makes life so difficult! If you bump or scratch one arm, do you have to even it out and do the same thing to the other?

| So I'm gonna go now, one last thing, this is mostly directed towards Shannon since she's into these kinds of conversations, but anyone can jump-in:
The line, "There were children involved, and they were brothers to me/Even if we'd never got to me" breaks my heart D: |

No, for me it's more about rearranging things that could be symmetrical but aren't. And I've made my mom get rid of furniture that wasn't symmetrical. It drove me crazy to look at it.

It certainly feels better to handle (oooooerrrr) Eh, I've heard a lot of pressing plants will actually put a bit more into quality control on 180gram + releases, since they tend to be marketed towards audiophiles, so I guess that probably has more to do with it post-mix. Probably a myth that pic discs sound worse too, but I swear, all of mine pop and crack so damn much, haha.

I feel so bad that Brian has had to deal with this. On a happier note though, have fun at your party and don't do anything Chris would do!
