| new song "The Devil and Maggie Chascarillo". you can stream it here: http://umrg.edgeboss.net/qtime/umrg/_promo/lucero/lucero_the_devil_and_maggie_chascarillo.mov
pretty good, but the combo of Ben's voice and the horns makes it sound like a Bosstones song. this album's gonna be interesting...

| They're all good. That Much Further West is killer too. Those guys tour a lot, i've seen them twice this year, and once last year.
lots of young dudes in the audience, fist pump sing along in leather jackets. it's good. i love it.
boys in the band are very cool too, beers and smokes w regular folks.
faves: chain link fence nights like these

| I defiately want to see Lucero next time they're playing near me. I reckon they'd generate a dead good atmosphere. |

| Has anyone Pre-ordered the new record and received the sampler? If you haven't I greatly recommend it. The production is very clean which is not typical of a Lucero record which will almost certainly begin the "down with signing to a major label" exclamations but to be quite frank, I have been craving a nice tight record from them to really showcase their talent. Don't get me wrong, I love all those old records. They have so much character in the production and it really encapsulated what Lucero was. However, this new record really reaches down into roots with a HUGE memphis sound. So, that's my rant... what do you think of the new stuff? | |

| i've only heard two of the new songs. i'm not sold on "Devil and Maggie" yet. i think it sounds like The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, with Ben's voice and the horns. but "Hey Darling, Do Ya Gamble?" is brilliant. more of the old school Lucero style | |

| You are not the first person I have heard say that and I get it... the horns and rough voice. But I hear straight Memphis blues.
And the line, "I was just a kid a long way from home, looking for something I felt all along." totally sold me on the song

you should come up to Columbus for the Lucero show on Sept 19th

| I'm definitely headed to the Columbus Lucero show and I might be seeing them the 15 and 16 in Chicago as well if my friend gets moved in by then. I am also seeing TGA in Columbus as well as Cincy. They could be great shows.
I go to Miami as well... well I went there for undergrad and Im starting grad school there in a few weeks.

The record store? iTunes? luceromusic.com? Better yet, buy a ticket to a show and pick up the record there! Support these guys. They deserve it! And the new record is fantastic!
