Gaslight Anthem’s ‘Handwritten’ could be Best Rock Record of 2012

CD • With its major-label debut "Handwritten," The Gaslight Anthem lays claim to having released one of the best rock records of the year. The New Jersey punk-influenced quartet has been approved by Jersey’s favorite son Bruce Springsteen, with lead singer Brian Fallon having shared the stage with The E Street Band, but Fallon and comrades share more in common with the spirit and energy of The Replacements and The Clash.

With "Handwritten" produced by two-time Grammy Award-winner Brendan O Brien — who has worked with Springsteen and Pearl Jam — the title reflects Fallon’s new lyrical style and shows off more of his personality and autobiography, along with a bold, confident vocal style.
