oh wait... for some reason the decided to cut one of the three best verses Brian has ever written... I was fucking livid at this when they cut it out

oh wait... for some reason the decided to cut one of the three best verses Brian has ever written... I like that verse too, but you're very, very consistently negative on Handwritten. It's fine, but at some point you'll be beating a dead horse. I just hope you stop before that point comes.
My favorite lyric...cluster, if you will, would be this part of Mulholland Drive. Perhaps partly because it's pretty similar to my current situation, but I'd like to think anyone would appreciate these lyrics.
In the deep, dark parking lot pressed up against my car With your hands around my neck I felt the pounding of your heart And the summer night was giving in to the lure of Autumn’s sway I can’t seem to forget that night or how I heard you say That I’d just die if you ever took your love away
So its okay for people who love the album to keep talking about why the love it, but if you dislike parts you need to shut up? I thought this was a gaslight discussion site... discussion goes both ways. Seconded. Some people need to chill out and stop taking offence if someone makes a slightly critical observation. We are all fans of the band but this forum is for discussing exactly how we feel about the music. Sure, I can agree with that. I don't think any of us disliked the third verse of Biloxi. But some people are acting like Brian discovered the elixir of life and then threw it away. The lyrics are good, but they're not Bob Dylan good.

| So many good ones!
I dance with your ghost, oh but that ain’t the way, I can’t move on and I can’t stay the same.
What’s your favorite song? That’s mine, I’ve been crying to it since I was young. I’ve been holding my breath, are you holding your breath, for too many years to count? There’s nothing like another soul that’s been cut up the same. I can understand you need a minute to breathe and to sew up the seams after all this defeat… and all this defeat. And to ease the loss of youth, and the many, many years I’ve missed you…
How much time do we have? If I wanted to I could start over again. And maybe time will tell you why I’ve got so much hell to sell you. I just won’t be there to stand for it, not one more minute will I stand for it.
In the deep, dark parking lot pressed up against my car, with your hands around my neck I can feel the pounding of your heart. Who came to drive you around this town, like I used to drive you all around with the radio on, through the mist of Mulholland.
I’ll be with you through the dark so that you do not go through the dark alone, or on your own.
The place where you were in my heart is now closed, I already live with too many ghosts. With everything discovered just waiting to be known… Now she screams how I promised her more than this. Take it easy baby, it ain’t over yet. And if there’s something you need, and if there’s something you find, whatever gets you through the night, whatever gets you through the night.
How blue is your heart? Is it sad enough to break? She said “it’s sad enough to break.” How long was your life? Was it cold and strange like mine? I met you between the wax and the needle in the words of my favorite song. And it took years, my baby, just to come clean. Every street light a reminder, and all those apologies, and the night was lonely next to me, even the night was lonely next to me.
In the last hours before the sunrise I’m not sure if I passed out or closed my eyes. I woke into a dream where I know I knew somebody just got their claws in you. And your breath heaves in silent anythings, like a subconscious ritual. If you’re gonna break my heart, it might as well be tonight. Oh, and every word of Mae.

| Might be my favorite on the album.... "I'm in love with the way you're in love with the night. And it travels from heart to limb to pen." I also like: "And there used to be a movement in the way your dress would wave. From your hips on down like electric through the ground." | |

| This, for me, is by far the best on the album and quickly becoming one of my all time favourites
"Here in the dark, I cherish the moonlight I'm in love with the way you're in love with the night And it travels from heart to limb to pen"

| My top 5 are easily
"We wait for kingdom come...with the radio on" "I've learned that nothing truly matters, that you cannot find for free" "Radio, oh radio, do you believe there's still some magic left inside our souls?" "I'm in love with the way you're in love with the night" "And there used to be a movement in the way your dress would wave, from your hips on down like electric through the ground"
And I also love "turn the key and engine over," but I've forgotten 45 exists since the album came out...

| There are alot of great lines on the record, but these are the ones that kind of stuck in my head "Pull it out, turn it up, what's your favorite song? That's mine, I've been crying to it since I was young"
"Hey, waking up, please shake it out, Does anything's still moving since you're educated now And all grown old and travelled so well? Do you still hear the sound of thunder while you lie up by yourself."

| I love how the verses in Howl tie to each other.... One is from the girl's perspective and one is from the guys.... I ddn't like the song as much as others at first, but then once I put the words all together, it really changed a lot for me! | |
