Speaking of beards, I'm sort of tickled by just how long I've actually been listening to these guys, because there was no way in hell I was able to grow any facial hair then.
Here's my awkward butt back in 2009 when I saw them for the first time after T59S was released.
Annnnnnd here's my slightly less awkward-yet-more-bearded self at this moment. This feels like a bigger feat than it probably should. I FEEL LIKE AN ADULT YOU GUYZ ))

@Chris - Hey there! This is actually my third year of college, technically. I've done two years at GA State, but I was undeclared at that school so I've basically been doing core classes and feeling incredibly insignificant for the last two years...I also worked for a corporate gas station while going there which made me feel just as significant as before! Haha. I've been planning on coming up here for a while, so it's nice that it's finally happened. I'm really stoked to start working more in production though. I've really missed talking with people about it.
@Crosby Stan - Yeah, it feels really great getting out. There's nothing but mountains and farm-land where I am at the moment...my university actually has grass. :O Thanks for the compliment, too! I can't wait to show it to Brian tomorrow.
@stepsandnumbers - It was definitely a mindfuck, but I'm happy I did it. I was really lucky since most of my family actually lives up here, but my dad separated from them all back in the 1980's, so I kinda grew up detached from them all. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with you guys in this thread, haha. I just take a peek in here every day and I just end up laughing very awkwardly since I manage to come in at the perfect times. ;D
I'm afraid of what you mean by "at the perfect times". Spam is definitely a wacky place, but we have fun hanging out in this thread. You never know what's going to happen!
Oh, and don't believe anything Chris says about how he leads this thread. It's all a pipe dream. Poor guy, he's so delusional!
I'm Shannon, by the way. You're Keegan, right?
haha I had to laugh. (Sorry Chris... but Shannon has a point!)
Oh, and hey Keegan and Shannon. Speaking of beards, I forgot that when I was at the concert, and Brian was talking about beards... I think he referred to the goatee as "the thunder from down under." haha Love that guy! (Then I sheepishly hid my goatee).

You guys seem like tons of fun, which is why I never understand why I submerge myself into these wacky conversations. Definitely still fighting anti-social tendencies, even on the internet, which makes me quite a bit sad really.

Aw, don't be sad. I bet you'll fit right in here! We're all kind of spastic, random, and goofy in our own ways. That's what makes spam fun!
And yes, Chris is entertaining. We have a good banter going over "control" of this thread (no one can control a thread of chaos though!), but I think everyone knows the truth. I'm the Queen of Spam, the super fan who has crazy Gaslight dreams and is going insane over Handwritten - my mind is melting! - and has the most ridiculous number of posts ever. So yeah...
Yep, we've chatted a few times around the forum, but it's been a while. A few months back, didn't we have a huge chain of posts about fake new Gaslight merch that we made up?

The super fans are my favorites. ;D If my buddy Zack posted on here more frequently, I think we'd be shit outta luck with post count. He lives and breathes Gaslight, and it was basically all my fault. Haha. I'm gonna probably be more into it when I finally get my vinyl order next week, but I'm on about my tenth listen of the album from the NPR rip, and I'm kinda losing it mentally. I'm ready to beg Brian to play Handwritten tomorrow night...
And we DID have that conversation! I'm still all for Gaslight undies! I'd feel like 20X more sexually attractive wearing those babies! Or maybe a Gaslight onesie.

Finally someone who understands. I need a girl who can listen to the Gaslight Anthem 24/7 without going crazy. I prefer them to love them as much as I do. All the girls in my area just listen to rap, katy perry, and lady gaga. Music is just one of those things that make me click with other people.

Oh, I love hearing Brian talk more than anything when I go to the shows. I love it when people are being douches and he just ends up making fun of them and ends up talking more because of them yelling at him to play more songs. Did you hear the rip of the LA Horrible Crowes show where he pulls a girl through a first-date conversation? Some guy was yelling about playing more songs, and he just looked at the guy and said "You're one of those types who just goes straight through first-base, second-base, third-base, fourth-base, POW!!!." @Crosby Stan - Yeah, it feels really great getting out.
Any time is the perfect time, in all honesty. XD And he's at least incredibly entertaining! Yep, I'm Keegan. Hello again Shannon! I think I got to chat your ear off a few months back when 45 got released and I had a spastic bitch-fit in my excitement.
Haha, you remember the Gaslight undies! Those were my favorite of the new merch. You better suggest this idea to Brian tomorrow after you beg him to play Handwritten, haha. And I really hope he listens to you! About the song I mean, not the undies. Um...yeah.
You sound like a good friend! If you introduced Zack to Gaslight, he owes you the world! And wow, I would be out of luck with post counts?! That is hard to believe. Honestly though, I would love to see someone have so much enthusiasm and love for Gaslight that they post even more than I do. I live and breathe this band too. I owe them a lot. These songs...they're a part of my soul now.

I don't know why I rarely post on here, because just about every single one of you manage to pull my heartstrings with your borderline neurotic and completely random postings...it makes me wish we all just lived in one big city. Anyways, I'm in a weird mood and weird position at the moment, so here I am.
Over the weekend I relocated from Atlanta to Columbia, Tennessee. I'm living temporarily with an uncle of mine and I'm job hunting over in Murfreesboro, which is where I'll be in a month when I start school at MTSU for recording industry. I've got some close friends coming up closer to that time to start with me at the university, but I feel very much on my own at the moment. Cool thing is that I get to see the guys tomorrow! It's fracking gorgeous up here too...much more greenery than the humid concrete jungle I've lived in the past twenty years...
So yeah. Hey guys.
Hey there . I am Chris. I am pretty much the leader of this thread or that is what they all tell me but I don't like to be cocky. Is this your first year of college?
You are not the leader! I am the Queen of Spam!
I have infiltrated. With my long hair and beard, no one here will recognize me. Don't eat that piece of cake Shannon.
I won the war. You have no followers. You can be alone, or you can join the rest of us. Those are your options. Choose wisely, Chris. Choose wisely.
I have Matt and that is all I need.
Matt jumped ship. He's a nice boy and joined my side.
I'll believe it when I see it. Until then, he is on my side. The good side is always outnumbered by the bad.
Yeah, sorry Chris. Shannon promised me she'd share some power with me.

haha I had to laugh.
I'm not sure how I should feel now. Haha. I'm kinda proud of my goatee. :O
Haha Well, I think he just said that for comical effect. But, he did talk about how he just likes some beards, but Alex R. likes all beards! haha He's kind of a joker tho. I think he'd make a good stand up comedian if he had a side job.
Some guy was yelling about playing more songs, and he just looked at the guy and said "You're one of those types who just goes straight through first-base, second-base, third-base, fourth-base, POW!!!." Greatest thing I've ever heard.
What song was this before?
Right before the Katy Perry cover at the Troubadour.
