yeah, locks and stoves and electrical things. mostly i'm afraid a door will mysteriously be unlocked and someone will break in or my dogs will get out and get lost

also, the stove will be on and burn the house down. or my hair straightener will start on fire and burn the house down. sometimes, if i just used my hair straightener before leaving the house, i'll bring it in the car w/ me so i know it's not burning down my house!

YOU ARE ME! I am terrified that the door will mysteriously open and Scooby will run away or someone will break in and murder everyone. I have always been afraid of that. Recurring nightmares right there!

I have been worried about fires since I was six years old. I check my hair straightener at least three times (My compulsions are usually done in threes or fives) before I leave for work in the morning. I have never once left it on, but the day I don't check, my house will burn down. I'm sure of it.
