| Hey, I've been playing guitar for a few months but mostly just intros/solos, so I've started to learn chords now. I'm attempting Here's Looking At You, Kid because it's all chords and it's a great track. I'm using this tab http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/t/the_gaslight_anthem/heres_looking_at_you_kid_crd.htm When it says 'C' or 'Am', I know Brian plucks each individual string so it's not strumming the whole chord, but how do you know what strings and what order? I get how to make the chord, I just don't know the specific way to pluck it. I'm guessing it's pluck the lowest string first, then go higher, and then back again? Thanks | |

| The pattern is here, it's basically bass note, then 4 2 3 4 strings. |

Thank you sir! No problem, though I personally prefer playing them as standard chords, because I'm awful at singing and fingerpicking in unison. |

| When you get better you won't even think about what strings to pick with something like this. You just kinda pluck strings and even if they aren't the exact same order as what is played on the record, it still sounds good. More about keeping a good rhythm / pace. | |
