romance issues

So I guess I'm going to see my ex next month... (the long distance one; not the asshole that broke my heart.) We're going to see Soul Asylum (our mutual favorite band) together at a 2-night stand in Minneapolis and we're sharing a hotel room, the whole nine yards. We both wanna go to this show, and he doesn't want to go alone and I can't go alone because I don't have the money, so we figured we might as well go together. I know this is a recipe for disaster, but I've decided that before I leave, I'm going to write "SINK OR SWIM" on my wrist in Sharpie to remind me of who I've become without him and to not look back for a second.

Not that he's a bad guy or anything, but he's freaking Anna in "Here's Looking at You, Kid". (That song is my life pretty much.)

So yeah, wish me luck with this little endeavor.

Well, I am trying to be friends with this girl I know. Who I haven't seen for years. Basically, I am trying to see if she would want to go out for a coffee sometime soon.

Am I not attractive, and what should i change? I started wearing better fitting shirts, andnon baggy jeans. Switched to converse shoes, and a nice watch.

I dunno man, maybe try grabbing a comb and some hair gel and styling your hair. I think alot of girls go for guys that take a little time on their hair.

Jimmy, it seems like you need to have a little self-validation, rather than finding validation solely through others. Girls can sniff out that shit from the get-go. A lot of things fall into place once you have that. And, life becomes easier. More enjoyable.

I suggest meditation and therapy.

Being all dark, cool, and mysterious is the best way to go, definitely.

But I think Jimmy's better off trying to smile than at trying to be a cool badass for now.

I've only skimmed through the previous pages to be honest, but judging solely by that picture, you're not even a bad looking dude. Just, y'know, average like the rest of us mortals xD

I've got nothin' really useful to say as I'm 18 and not speaking from experience whatsoever, but judging from all of this I think you just mainly kinda lack confidence and stuff like that more than looks. Try 'n just take yourself for who you are first, know what's there to like 'n dislike about you and take peace with it and use that.

Or work on what you don't like, if you can't do that. Do you do any sports any stuff like that? Maybe it could help to build a sort of better self-image.

Probably should shut up now before I make myself look like an ass with some useless cliché sermon or something xD

As for my issues, they're mostly in the nonexistence department. Bisexual dude who crushes rarely but has 'full streak' so far for falling for straight close friends. Sucks, but it ain't anybody's fault, so life goes on I guess.
Though there is this one kinda sweet dude from Holland who seems rather interested in me. Average in terms of looks, as far as that goes, and so far he just seems kind of alike to me in a quite a lot of ways. And maybe completely different in others. But definitely a sweet guy.

Not sure if anything's gonna come out of it because being two broke-ish students and long distance don't mix too well, but it's nice to know. I just hope I don't kinda 'break his heart' or somethin' if things keep just kinda vaguely muddling along like this and nothing comes out of it or someone else who's a bit closer were to catch my eye somehow all of a sudden.

Sports and me don't mix- bad asthma. I do guitar, and model railroad/railfan. I love hockey, NASCAR, and dislike football.

I've gone the Taylor swift roite,and written some songs about those who've hurt me. No names of course, I actually have some respect for their privacy. Plus, its better to make them Wonder.
