| Realistically I'd say this needs to be a simple design, 1 colour on black or grey (goes with any jeans or shirt then). And not have lyrics printed on the back as the cost is going to start to stack up and turn people off the idea. In the U.K you can upload a PDF design and get it printed for about £10 which is pretty cool. That way no one person has to outlay a ton of money, other than buying their own shirt. Let's see some actual designs from people. I'm thinking classic, kind of RAMONES or GBGCs style iconic Tshirt design would be good. Afterall wearing a Tshirt for a forum is quite geeky so the design needs to be kinda cool and strong to counteract that I think, so I didn't cringe at the sight or thought of wearing it. The design needs to stand out when you're at a dimly lit venue. The username idea is kinda nice but personalising each design could get quite fussy / messy. Best just to see someone wearing the shirt and go 'hey, you're on Dimestore too!' and strike up a conversation and take it from there. Anyway here's my design suggestion: | |

| I like that...the more minimalistic the better to be honest. I was thinking of an anchor on the arm as well, but I like that shirt. | |

| Thanks I like the idea of having the anchor on the arm. I'm not sure if they'd charge more for that... probably. Could be good if you're stood to the side of someone too. I could do another design when I get a chance including 4 small icons: the anchor, a knuckleduster (like from American Slang artwork), a skull and a 45 record. Just small icons. For a bit of detail. | |

| Just a thought...if you are going to go for another design... on the back, just below the neck... the 45 insert...with DSS just below it. | |

| I certainly wouldn't go for a design that copies the official fan club design (like that 45 inset).
What about a Dimestore Saints text where the 'o' is a dime and the ''t in Saints in an upside down switchblade (as per the lyrics, but non agreesive by being upside down)? It could also be set so that a single 'S' can be used for the 's' in Dimestore and one of the 's' in Saints, tying the words together.
However, I am trying to rope in El Jeffe.

| I really like the pin idea because i don't always want to wear a certain shirt to a show. http://www.zazzle.com/45+rpm+buttonspins already exist. what's funny is that i have a silver necklace of a 45 rpm adapter that I've had for years (then again,i am ancient) although i would not turn down anything designed by el jefe either. having been through this before trying to collect money in advance is difficult. trying to hand out shirts at shows is difficult. sending out shirts all over the world is more work than you think it will be. there are better places than cafepress or zazzle with better quality shirts/screenprint. just some things to keep in mind. | |

| hey there i'm not a big poster, but nearly every minute i check the new posts - hoping for new informations 'bout brian and his boys and seeing how great and nice all of you guys are so i got your discussion about a forum t-shirt - and being in love with designing and such things i thought i'd do a little scetch of what i thought would be great it's inspired by el jefe's poster for brian fallon at the red bull music academy: <clip> <nhpathobject id="id109" x="342.98" y="330.321" scaleX="0.5" scaleY="0.8" centerX="-4.53" centerY="1.629" width="10" height="14.8" cacheAsBitmap="true"> <nhfillstyle id="id104" color="e90010"/> <nhpath id="id106" pathPoints="l,2.45,-2.82,-0.23,1.99,0.62,-5.18;l,3.31,-10.30;l,7.72,-4.74,-3.48,-3.19,1.10,1.01;l,10.64,1.68,1.17,-2.11,-0.86,1.54;l,2.98,3.76,3.39,1.98,-4.27,-2.50"/> </nhpathobject> </clip> | |

| I don't like the aspect of advertising 'using a forum'.
Liked the previous subtleness of it all. Not a knock on folk that have designed stuff...better than I could do!!

| Gotta agree with Klown, I think the original design is best. The other designs are cool too, I just like the subtlety of it. | |

| Take a look at this company: http://skreened.com/They do the cafepress thing, but have apparently much higher quality products and printing. A standard T runs around $25, plus shipping. And they do it on-demand, so DSS could set up a "store" and offer all sorts of T shirts, mugs, hoodies, etc. They don't print them unless they're ordered... (edited to reflect the fact they don't sell hats or pins, unfortunately...) | |
