Like, sorry I am not sorry my mental health and WGSS education makes me more aware of putdowns like these? Whatever. I decided I'd rather do an extra year at my regular college than be in an environment that made me want to go FEMINIST HULK SMASH. So not worth the headache.
Good for you! I would have done the same thing. When I was in college I took time off a couple of different semesters for various reasons, and I didn't regret it once. Saving your sanity is much more important than finishing school in four years as opposed to five, or whatever time frame you set for yourself. That professor sounds awful, and being in that class would have been miserable. Now just relax and enjoy your summer!

Sometimes a place (school/work/etc.) is just not for you, so why suffer if you hate it so much!

Yep. I agree with all of you. Now, I get to just kick back, relax, and just drive around the state while listening to good music. That's a good summer right there.

Tonight was awesome and I'm probably gonna fall asleep at work tomorrow. Won't be around for a few days either.

ahh, it wasn't that bad. just got a late start to my jobs and ended up running around trying to catch up on my time, realized i didn't have a key for one house, had to go back to the office to get it, which made me later, and running around in this heat just makes everything worse. been feeling sweaty and gross all day.
also we have no A/C right now, the A/C guy came and said it's broken and it's suuuper expensive to fix, i feel bad for my gma. my mom was supposed to come into town Friday, but she might have to put off her trip now.
and i found a little bird at one of my jobs, he was just sitting there with flies on him, so i brushed them off, but he still just sat there. i don't know if he's sick, or what. i put him on a table on my back porch. hope i didn't get any bird diseases from him

Aw, that does sound like a pretty miserable day. I would die without A/C. Because I'm a big, spoiled baby. It was hot and humid here today, and tomorrow it's supposed to storm off and on all day. I'm supposed to take the kids to a sailboat exhibition downtown on the waterfront, but we can't go if it's storming and tomorrow is the last day. I don't want them to be disappointed, but not having to walk though crazy downtown with two wild children sounds pretty nice to me!
Poor birdy! I hope it's okay and you don't get sick from it!

What's the big deal about True Blood? My cousin is OBSESSED with it, but I don't have HBO so I've never watched it.

LOL, no wonder my cousin loves it so much! I don't get the appeal of the vampire stuff. Except for The Lost Boys from the 80s. Haha, I love that movie!

haha, no, it's a good show, though. this clip is almost ten minutes long & it's the very first episode (just ignore the subtitles!):

I'll have to watch it tomorrow on my computer. My iPad is taking forever to load YouTube videos! My cousin is totally consumed by True Blood. I know that when it's new, her kids will actually get to bed at a decent time so she can watch it in peace.

Yep, it's her! She's still moving, but they are having a horrible time getting their house situated here and securing a loan for a new home in TX, so this is being dragged out. Her husband has been there for two months already. She is hoping to move next month, but nothing is set in stone. Honestly, as much as I will miss the kids and my heart will break into a million pieces when they leave, I need her out of my life. She has made the last four years of my life a living hell and I can't take it anymore. Although I didn't mind her at all Saturday night after I'd had a couple drinks! We had a great time and apparently she couldn't stop laughing at me. I don't remember details, everything is a little fuzzy, but who cares, I was happy!

ahh, that sucks. at least you'll be less stressed with her gone!
that's so funny. not saying everyone needs to drink, but it definitely can help loosen you up, so it sounds like just what you needed.
i'm gonna go check on my new pet bird now

Before Saturday I fully believed that I would NEVER get drunk (I mean, c'mon, how many times did I say that here?!), but I am trying to give up my control freak ways, and that was a big step. And I'm so glad I took it! Next Saturday...more of the same since I have to deal with her again.
I hope the birdy is okay! Bye Steph!

I'm bored of JadedPunkHulk.
I like True Blood because eye candy + Southern accents = I'm THERE. I'm kidding. I like it cus it's so over the top ridiculous and a nice mental escape. I think it's partially responsible for my Southern fetish.

She's already succumbed to the charms of Demon Alcohol, it's only a matter of time before we have her worshipping at the altar of Eric Northman.
