Hey

I've been a long time lurker here. I had another account that I never used and completely forgot what it was. I've been a big fan of the band since around the time The '59 Sound came out. I remember reading about it on the Against Me! forum and decided to check out the band. I write a lot of lyrics, so I was instantly taken with Brian's writing. Anyway, with all the excitement surrounding the release of the new album I thought I might as well finally join in.

what's your favorite Gaslight song/have you ever seen them live/where do you live/what are some of your other favorite bands??

Hi Steph. It's kind of hard to choose one favorite, but I'd say my top three Gaslight songs would be Navesink Banks, Wherefore Art Thou, Elvis?, and Blue Jeans & White T-Shirts. Unfortunately, I have not seen them live yet. Hopefully next time around I can catch a show. I live in California. Aside from TGA, some of my other favorite musicians are Against Me!, Defiance, Ohio, Frank Turner, Elliott Smith, and Fake Problems.

whereabouts in CA, if you don't mind me asking? and aren't they coming anywhere near you this summer??

I unfortunately live in Bakersfield, CA ha. Yeah, I think they'll be coming near these parts soon (Anaheim, I'm pretty sure). I'm going to try to make it out for that. I would have liked see the SF show, but it's the day before my cousin's wedding so I won't be able to make it.

can't be that bad, Social D wrote a song about the place! Anaheim isn't that close to Bakersfield! but you should make it to their show any way!

Yeah, my name's Shannon. And thanks! It was hard to pick a username because so many of Brian's lyrics mean something to me, but Red At Night describes me so well, I had to go with that line.
