2012 Fall tour with Rise Against and HWM

Except that's not the case for Pittsburgh. Their last show at Mr Smalls was fairly packed. Its more just location / lacking proper venues.

Okay, I figured I'd go ahead and start one of these seeing as how this is "pretty much" a Fall Tour. (Even though Rise Against is headlining it, we all know how much we love and truly appreciate The Gaslight Anthem). That being said, feel free to discuss, complain about...if need be, and share your excitement about the Fall Tour.

To be honest, I wish Gaslight had a headlining tour right after the debut of their record rather than an opening slot.

I'm sure exposing them to the Rise Against fan base will propel sales of Handwritten at the shows, but I'd love to see them kicking ass and taking names as the marquee name.

^ Yeah. I can hear ya there. Since it's they're "post album release tour," it'd be nice if they had the headline spot. But, it sounds like they'll do a big spring tour next year anyway.

And, yeah, exposing themselves with RA will likely propel sales of Handwritten. So, I suppose it will be good for them. Honestly, if I were them, I'd be pretty pumped to tour with RA too. hahaha

Agreed. To me it's kind of "been there, done that". Rise Against has more fans now than they did in 2008 and they're playing bigger venues but still. It's not really a step back or anything, more like a step sideways for now.

I heard it today on Sirius (Faction- during Chuck Ragan & Chris Wollard's visit)! I got excited

Purchased my ticket to the Ottawa show on September 13th.. Super excited!! Might end up going to the Montreal show the night before Ottawa as well.

I'm going to the Anaheim show! I am so excited.

Has anyone else seen Rise Against? I saw them open for Foo Fighters last year in KC and I can't say I was that impressed...but it was Sprint Center. I'll be seeing them again down in Dallas at Riot Fest. Hoping for a better show from them.

Saw them open up for the Foos in NJ at the Izod Center (a rather shitty venue imo) and they were fantastic.

I've seen Rise Against more times than I'd like to share. They're sets have been garbage lately with mostly radio singles.. Sucks that we don't get to hear any of their good stuff anymore.

i am so sad we don't get a gaslight headlining show. it's a letdown after them not being here in what will be well over two years come September
