Handwritten: misc. Deluxe Editions

Just found on Amazon a pre-order for the deluxe edition for handwritten. It is an import CD, does any one know what this may contain or anything at all about it. Here is the link for the amazon preorder, Thanks.

Woah. The Mumford and Sons CD was an import and cost half of that....something is odd here.

HMV had a version up for £30, there's a good chance it's the Japanese version that Amazon have. I know HMV had a special version of American Slang, so maybe it's that. Imports can end up costing quite a bit of cash, especially if they are the Japanese versions.

Well as soon as anyone knows what the difference is please post. Im sure there will be enough copies for us all though.

Yeah, Banquet have had that up for a week or so, which leads me to think that the import is the Japanese version, they usually are a bit more expensive.

I'm hovering over the buy button...but shall wait to find out what the package deal involves.

The Amazon one seems to be the Japanese edition, after doing a bit of investigating.

£50 = $78. That's pretty pricy! But...I still want it! But like Gordon, I am also waiting to see what the package deal looks like. Hopefully we will get details and a pre-order on that very soon!

I can't imagine we will have to wait too much longer, El Jefe seems to think soon, and that's 3 different versions up already. I say we will get a pre-order package deal Friday 8th June

That date makes sense. Of course I would like it today because I am way too impatient for this album, but I can wait a couple more weeks...I guess. So what does everyone think will be included in the bundle?

I would love it to be something like the recent HWM $100 package, which at first seemed a lot of money (it is) but when you looked at everything that was in the deal, it was a steal. Although with a major involved, I think we will get a poster, limited vinyl and a few stickers/pin and a tshirt.

as this is on the Universal website, it looks pretty official

£50 is crazy though; you can get the deluxe version elsewhere for about £10, so £40 for a pendant, some postcards, a notebook and pins and stickers ...?

You will get it much cheaper elsewhere, also Universals delivery methods leave a lot to be desired, infact, I think they hang out with ShopRadioCast... The PJ boxset they did a year or so ago, was about £60, and took about 3-4 weeks for delivery within the UK. Many shops did the box for about £40, so probably best to bare that in mind.

I don't think Im buying that box set. Although I like to have the best version on offer, I can't justify paying £40 for the extra stuff when in all honesty it will just sit there in the box. Id be getting it just for the sake of having it when all I really care about is the music. I want the vinyl though...

In any case, I am sure (!) there will be much more interesting bundles on offer.

That is such a bad album cover .

It's really grown on me to be honest, I like it, very classy look to it, and an old vibe as well. As long as the music contained within rocks my world, then that's all I can ask for. Plus the inner parts of the sleeves and book are meant to be fantastic.

I don't really like the white version, honestly. Love the other one though.

I dp prefer the original.


The Horrible Crowes Super deluxe was an incredible deal. Two vinyls, cd, tshirt all for like $60, right?

Hope there's a bundle similar for Handwritten.

I like it better in blue, but I dont need a pendant pins stickers notebook etc. Id much prefer a tshirt, poster, or something else.

Also just putting it out there that i was hoping the alternate cover would be something totally different and preferrably something like jefes 45 art.

That's what I was hoping for too. I like the cover for the standard version, it feels very classic to me, but I don't like the white as much on the deluxe edition. The artwork for "45" is brilliant though. It would have been great if the deluxe edition had somehow gone along with that.
