Oh, I got given a ticket to Eddie Vedder today in Manchester, guess I'm going to Manchester again this summer...why couldn't it have been somewhere nicer. But hey, ROADTRIP...on a plane.

It varies from day to day. It gets bad during the hottest days, but is decent within reasonable temps.

Damn, that's no fun, I had asthma as a kid, but thankfully outgrew most of the symptoms. Haven't used an inhaler for about 15 years + now, thankfully. Guess I'm also lucky in that I live in a pretty cool country climate wise. Mine was actually that bad as a kid, that I nearly died when going swimming once, apparently the asthma had left my chest that weak, that the chlorine in the pool had a major effect on my breathing. Was also in an oxygen tent for 3 days as a kid, I was struggling to breathe after an asthma attack and got put in there.

Starting to have a mental Dimestore division. Aka loving you guys, but the other people who come on here and nitpick Gaslight & every choice they make... not so much. I guess I'm not interested in finding fault with them, Ian, the songs or anything else. I only like good-timey Gaslight posts. Oh well. If that makes me a suck-up I don't give a crap. I think it makes me someone who enjoys things for what they are and if I don't like it, I don't listen to it. /rant

When did this start? I haven't seen any posts like that on here. Granted I don't venture much out of spam, the covers/other covers, the Tab sections....but I have not seen anything like this.

Noticed that as well after you pointed it out to me the other day, sometimes it's there to just be enjoyed, I'm not saying we have to say that everything they put out is perfect, and that they are these perfect human beings...or...look for fault in every wrong interpretation or word spoken. There's a happy middle ground, I've seen other boards where you aren't allowed to say a bad word *cough*10club*cough, and it's just as bad, if not worse than nitpicking on small details.

I joined this place after lurking for ages, because it seemed fun and people enjoyed the band and had a pretty positive but grounded outlook. I'd love for the place to stay like that, even though I'm only about 2 months old here

I'm all for thoughtful debate, like what Brian meant with his lyrics or something like that. But I really feel like some people are reaching to find the negative aspects about them just to sound like they know something. But that's the internet for you I suppose! Then they cover it by saying you're being TOO positive if you disagree with their thoughts. Meh. Gaslight Anthem would have to murder someone or turn techno or something extreme for me to really have a problem with them and their music enough where I've got to vent about it on a public forum.

I agree with you completely, Lorraine! I think if people have a problem with Gaslight or want to criticize them, they have come to the wrong place. That kind of negativity doesn't belong here.

i know what you mean, toots. and that's not to say that people shouldn't have their own opinions and say what they're thinking and disagree with something Brian says in an interview, but overall...i just don't care about the minute little details, i just want to enjoy the music. and the community.
