| This song reminds me of the rising album... I'm liking it more every time I hear it. They lyrics are a little different from what I'm used to but it's pretty cool. So I guess this album is kinda like Tunnel of Love in that Bruce uses the E Street Band for parts and other musicians for other stuff. The jury's still out with titles like Death to My Hometown and songs that are only a few years younger than I am (Land of Hope and Dreams). Still really excited though. | |

It's how they have organised the queues for the 'pit' in previous years. Never heard of an artist being so organised before! works great most of the time , still a mass rush for the barriers and Germany can be a nightmare.

I know! The song isn't bowled over by 18 layers of production. Only Bruce would kick this much ass at 62 I'm interested to see how "wrecking ball" turns out. That song could be amazing assuming he re-wrote some of the awkward Giant references.

| I am so excited for this album to come out! I agree with what some of the other guys have said, the single sounds SO good! I think this album may have a similar vibe to The Rising, which is one of my favorite Bruce albums, so I'll be thrilled if that's true. | |

| It's a solid song, but the lyrics bore me and it's kind of tendious to me. I'm a huge Springsteen-fan, but I just don't like the song that much. I hope the other songs of "Wrecking Ball" will be a lot more exciting. | |

| If anyone has 2 Manchester tickets for sell please let me know...I can't believe it's already sold out . As for the new song, I like it a lot. It's a bit chilled, and us others have said had a feel of The Rising about it a good thing). Not a classic or anything but a good song! | |

| Seen this on one of the reviews - The song is an up-tempo rocker which resembles the sound of the younger bands Springsteen has recently taken under his wing such as The Arcade Fire and The Gaslight Anthem.

| New single - overall sounds good, but reading deeper the lyrics aren't standing out at me. I'll give it a 6.5/10. Still well excited for the new album. Cant wait to hear studio versions of Land of Hope and Dreams and Wrecking Ball. Contrary to what someone else posted. I hope he's retained the lyrics from the original Wrecking Ball. I really liked the song. Just a couple of lines which may have been squeezed in but other than that it was great.
I was shocked by such a near release date. A lot of bands schedule it for over 6 months into the future.
Also I can see why a few people have said they can hear Gaslight in there. I think its more a case though of them LOOKING for Gaslight in there or wanting to find them in there. I think its clutching at straws to be honest but thats just my opinion.

While plenty of artists have been influenced by the Boss in recent years, from the Killers to Titus Andronicus and the Gaslight Anthem, this Wrecking Ball cut feels like the first sign that Springsteen might have been influenced by that new generation of bands himself. Sure, a surging, arena-ready rocker with rollicking organs has been a Springsteen trademark since at least "Born to Run," but something in the spacious production and quavering delivery here suggests Arcade Fire, doesn't it?

| I don't know, lyrically "We Take Care of Our Own" doesn't really do anything for me....It is so simple. I really guess I just have a hard time keeping myself from going "This is the guy that wrote songs like Jungleland and Atlantic City and Thunder Road and The Promise".....I know that was ages ago but something kinda irks me about hearing "Wherever this flag's flown, we take care of our own" repeatedly.
