I'm determined to go to one of these tapings. I went onto the Letterman site though, and they're not taping on June 28th, the last day they're taping in June is the 27th...so I'm assuming this will be taped then.

Yo, I'll be living in NYC by then! How do I get tickets for this kind of thing? Is there someone I can email or something?

I spoke prematurely, of course. I went on the site and submitted for June 27th. Velocity, see you there? I sure hope so!

Just an FYI: Letterman has an odd taping schedule. He never works Fridays. That show is usually taped on Monday or Tuesday night.

But, it looks like Letterman isn't taping on Thursday that week either. That means they're going to do two double-tapings that week, which means heaven knows which day Gaslight's going to be there to tape their set to air on Thursday evening. My guess is it won't be Wednesday, since if the crew is taking a long weekend they're going to want to get out of town ASAP after they tape Wednesday's show.

The Gaslight Anthem is led by Brian Fallon (vocals/guitar), along with Alex Rosamilia (guitar/backing vocals), Alex Levine (bass/backing vocals) and Benny Horowitz (drums/percussion). The band formed in New Brunswick, N.J. in 2006. yeah but the Foos are also Letterman's fav band and like 500 trillion times bigger.

Ok, but looking through some links, other bands have done 1hr+ sets...no reason why we can't expect a decent length of a set.

Yeah, a lot of bands get a good amount of time for the Live On Letterman thing. A good example would be Beady Eye. They played 10 songs and their lone album reached only 31 on the Billboard charts. American Slang got to 16 and I think most would assume (or at least hope) Handwritten will do even better than that.

I'll be most interested to see if he invites them over to the couch for a chat after they play for the show. That'll be the real test...

Will the live stream be viewable in the UK?
