Same here! Poetry's my favorite to analyze. I love being able to get so much context out of a short poem and then debating it in class.

I don't have any of them. They'll surface at some point. I think you actually get more holidays over there than we do here

When my 11th grade English class was studying poetry, I spent about a month trying to come up with a way to analyze every poem we read to fit some kind of hippie theme or way of life. Everybody called me a hippie back then because I have always been obsessed with the 60s, so I thought why not go with it? I was actually pretty successful in my interpretations and won a lot of debates in class. And I drove my teacher absolutely insane, so that was an added bonus.

It doesn't seem like it! I am looking forward to Memorial Day in a few weeks. I need a three day weekend!

Hah, you'd think that, but after this one we've got 2 more between now and Christmas. They all seem to come really early in the year.

Oh, okay. I guess that makes sense then, because we have a few at the end of the year. We get Labor Day in September, Columbus Day (for a few of us anyway) in October, Veterans' Day in November and then two days for Thanksgiving in November as well. No wonder autumn is one of my favorite seasons!

That's cool, Lorraine! Are you going to sell your photos? My mom has an etsy shop (she makes clothes for little girls and baby quilts) and she loves it. The etsy community is really friendly and helpful and I haven't heard anything bad about anyone's experience. You should give it a try!

I don't even know where they would be. I had them when I was shopping yesterday, and I almost certainly had them after I'd got back to my car, so I can only have lost them between my car and my front door

I have ear buds but they hurt my ears

I have JVC noise canceling ear buds that I love except that after awhile the little speaker coverings (the light purple foam in this photo) come unglued and get stuck in my ears when I take them out. They're cheap, sound good, but come apart basically.

Those are nice! I love the color - purple is my favorite! The earbuds that come with iPods hurt my ears too sometimes, but the other ones I got are more flexible and fit in my ears so much better!

yeah mine are similar!! I think I am going to keep them even if I get the purple ones because I don't see myself going to the gym with those things
