- Hey guys! I'm watching Grey's Anatomy and crying because a baby is dying. Someone cheer me up please!
ahhh is that the most recent episode? i know, when i watched it, i was a hundred percent sober, and i couldn't stop crying!! Yes! I love Grey's Anatomy, but sometimes it just kills me! i haven't watched it religously, but anyways, the episode where Denny dies and Izzy falls apart, make me bawl like no other. every single time. it's devastating. SAME HERE! It was the best and worst episode ever. I cry and cry every time I see it. best and worst all in one! yes! so heartbreaking, uggh. Gut wrenchingly heartbreaking!
Do you watch Private Practice too? It hasn't been on in weeks and weeks. Was it cancelled? i don't my Gma watches it, so any time i have heard of a special episode, i've tuned in, but not regularly. i haven't heard that it's been cancelled!

I watch both shows, but I like Grey's Anatomy better. I bonded with those characters more, I think. I hate when my shows get cancelled. It all started with Freaks and Geeks. One season was not enough!

| hahah! F&G was just ahead of its time, it's one of those shows now, like MSCL, that everyone "loves" but no one loved enough when it was on air | |

| I think you're right. If F&G had been on a couple of years later, it might have lasted longer. But it gave a lot of successful actors a good start. Jason Segel, Seth Rogan, John Francis Daley, Linda Cardellini, JAMES FRANCO! And Judd Apatow too because he created the series. Lots of talent there. I have no idea why, but I have never seen a single episode of My So-Called Life. I know all about it, but somehow I missed it when it was on. | |

When I'm writing and need to zone out and concentrate, I listen to classical music, instrumental movie scores, or mellow 70s singer/songwriter stuff. Especially James Taylor and Carole King.

That usually does the trick. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo soundtrack is perfect for it (and because it's Trent Reznor it's awesome).

I haven't seen the movie, but I'll have to check out the score. If I'm working on something that isn't too emotional or deep (like some poetry where I need to keep my mood dark), I like the soundtrack to The Holiday. It's happy and pretty and fills the silence so I can concentrate. I don't like silence.

| Ilaria, I'll give Moving Mountains a listen once Wrecking Ball has finished.
Shannon, with the exception of the first track (which is a cover of Immigrant Song) it's all instrumental and very dark and emotional so I guess it would be good for writing something like that.

That sounds great! Elsie is the only music I have found that works perfectly for writing poetry, so I'm definitely going to have to give that soundtrack a try. And I LOVE Immigrant Song.
