Thanks to everyone who participated in the twitter chat #askbrian. I had a blast. I was supposed to only do 30minutes but I was having such a good time I was going for almost an hour until Twitter stopped me from posting. A message came up that said I had exceeded the number of tweets for one day and I couldn’t do any more. Sorry about that, I didn’t even know it was possible to have a limit. The thought made my blood run cold. If Fallon actually rooted for the Pats or the Sox I would seriously have to consider revoking his NJ citizenship (I am vested with that authority).

I think you're safe even though I don't understand all these petty inter-state rivalries seeing as New Jersey is in New England and also the Midwest

I think technically Jersey is part of the Mid-Atlantic region, along with Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. The different regions are all blurred together - it's stupid, but rivalries are serious business, dude!

Glad to see Brian admit he was being a troll in that other interview, but who was he trying to piss off? Punknews? He says he doesn't read the internet. Why would he care?

He said he tried not to read it too much, which I took to mean he does check it out but not ALL the time.

I now get why Brian feels the way he does about the internet. I read an old punk news story, followed by pages of the most obnoxious comments that I have ever read about any band. I don't normally read punk news. Do they treat other bands the same way, or is it only gaslight?

There are people who use punknews for its purpose -- news about a variety of bands and honest commenting, and people who troll and incite negativity.

I check it everyday but rarely read the comments. It is where I first heard about Gaslight (you could stream sink or swim on there and they posted some early live videos).

Most of it is just not meant to be taken seriously. It's like satire.

The comments go the same way on BrooklynVegan, Blabbermouth, and any other site that lets people say anything at all. Because a lot of people in the world are miserable jerks
