I met a couple people today who thought Titanic was just a fictional movie. I wanted to slap them silly.

Yeah I think. I just hope they realize there was no Rose. I really did not feel like explaining about Jack. Did you know there actually was a jack Dawson on the Titanic? He was a crewmember in the boilers though. Amazing what a little research will come up with huh?

I swore the Nat Geo program about it showed the tombstone saying Jack. May have to go back and rewatch it.

i read in the paper that there is a tombstone belonging to a joseph dawson that just reads "J. Dawson", and that ppl visit it thinking it's jack dawson's. they're both very common names anyway.

Yep, I follow you Laurence. I just can't imagine an adult living in America never having heard of the real Titanic. Maybe stupid wasn't quite the right word. How about ignorant or oblivious?

Well if you live in the US and haven't heard of the Titanic then it means you probably never paid attention in elementary school, middle school, or high school.

I've been to the Phillies stadium before though. It's pretty cool.

I'm from L.A. originally, so I'm a Dodgers fan, but I like the Giants too. They were my second home team when I moved to Santa Cruz. It seems Ike more people where I live now are Braves fans, and I HATE the Braves!
