I would have liked to have kept my old username - but alas! What to do! Anyway - I am an English teacher living for now in Doha, Qatar. I am originally from Montreal, Quebec. Voila - I have two beautiful daughters and the Gaslight Anthem grow on me more and more everyday!

Good idea on starting this forum... I love TGA so frickin' much! I had considered emailing Lex to talk to her about how I would go about setting up a TGA forum, but you beat me to the punch!

Hey - you want admin status with me? We can share this thing. I still haven't seen them live! Oh - and does the booklet for SOS have lyrics?

I thought I would take a minute and explain what has changed over the past 6 years.

These past few years I have come on very rarely and done nothing at all!.  And that because the admins here are absolutely amazing and dedicated and awesome people - true Gaslight material.

Now I am in Québec City and am finalizing a 3 year divorce that has left me with almost complete custody of my two wonderful daughters.  Priorities of course dictate my life now - but here is a heart-warming story ...

I came home after work during the early spring and my eldest daughter greeted me at the door with something behind her back ...

Daddy!  A special gift for you!

As a big child, I can't wait to know what this surprise is!

Oh?!  What!  Tell me what!

I put my things down and looked at her.

Which hand?

Left

She gave me her left hand, empty, smiling - I know this game!  But I love playing it

Right?!

Of course the right hand came up empty too ...

Both!

And she gave me a printed piece of paper ... A group shot of the Gaslight Anthem!

And she did that all on her own!  A wonderful surprise, and the Gaslight are deep in my heart.

And so it will forever hang on my fridge ... here it is ...
