I translate interviews for this friend of mine as a favour too but she makes me go to concerts/festivals for free and I write for her website so it kinda doesn't count, I enjoy doing it!

well it's always good to know anyways, it seriously made a difference for me

oh, that's cool! yeah, i mean i already know about the food industry and whatnot, but i figured, might as well learn more, knowledge is power, yadda yadda...
i was talking to a girl i work with yesterday about how her friend used to be vegan and she was asking me questions about the difference between vegetarianism and veganism, i told her how chickens are stuffed into cages where they can barely move or spread their wings, cows are supposed to be shot with stun guns before their throats are slit, but sometimes they miss and they just slit their throat while the animal is conscious, how they debeak birds, etc., and she was like "no way! they do that? that is so messed up!"
i was like, oh sweetheart, you really need to learn what goes on!

i know right? and i don't mean that in the judgmental-trying-to-convert-you-to-vegetarianism-kind of way, just the...you should know more about the food you put into your mouth kind of way! sadly, no one's going to tell you the truth, you have to look into it and figure it out yourself!

you know what's funny, when i was really little, my mom used to have to tell me that the turkey we had for Thanksgiving dinner was a store turkey, not a real turkey. i was sensitive about it even back then.

My little sister read a book about the meat industry and had a bit of a breakdown where she cried hysterically and called me a selfish bastard for not being a vegetarian.

Poor girl's heart's gonna kill her some day.

Honestly for the whole Vegitarian....If Humans were meant to not eat meat...we would not have canine teeth in our mouth. Honestly for vegitarians, Great that you have the ability to do it, But I never could. I love chicken, steak, and bacon too much. Plus Meat is the only way to get proteins since I am allergic to nuts.

so true steph, that happens to me with shops that sell animals or shelters, stuff like that, I can't enter those places

what is truly scary is that some kids don't even know about vegetables!!! I will never forget jamie oliver going to american schools realizing they didn't know what a carrot was

well I am not vegetarian for now, I am not saying that men shouldn't eat meat, I just dont understand the necessity of treating these animals as if they didn't feel pain! Men used to raise their own animals and then eat them, we lost that kind of respect.
