Well you know what happened right? one guy fired a gun, so the rest of them thought it was a new club trend. Whut.

| Wow, this is the quietest Spam has been in ages! What's everybody up to?
I have decided that after this morning (crazy children!), I have been sufficiently paid back for every trial and tribulation I put my parents through when I was growing up. I have paid my dues! I'm exhausted.

I have been taking care of children in some capacity for 18 years now, so I can handle anything, but this morning was just one problem after another. I keep saying that I'm going to take up drinking, and today is the day! I need some tequila! Just kidding! That would be a BAD idea. So, tell me about your little cousin.

I know the feeling! I have worked late every day this week and each minute has been very challenging! I'm exhausted too. What do you have planned for the weekend?

Stormchasers are insane! I don't know how anyone can do a job like that. I'll never forget how the sky looked and how the air felt when a tornado came through this area (the city just to my west), and I hope I never experience it again. I'm just not that brave.

I'm just not that brave. we had a tornado come through here last year. Driving around looking at houses was like a horror movie. never forget it. houses with black X's (no body's found) and houses with Orange X's (dead found) I honestly don't know how many orange X's I saw that day. my friend's house was untouched but 17 of his neighbors died.

Oh my gosh, that is so sad! That's one reason why tornadoes scare me so much. They are so unpredictable, destroying everything in their path but leaving every single little detail on the next street over untouched, flowerpots still sitting on the porches with windchimes hanging silently above them. It really freaks me out. I was working when the tornado came through Suffolk a few years ago (about 20-30 miles away from me), and I don't think I have ever prayed so hard in my life. The girls were really little back then, only 1 and 3, and I remember listening to the radio at all of the warnings and making sure I was prepared to grab them both and take cover if I had to, whatever I needed to do to keep them safe. It gives me chills right now just thinking about it.

| I spent the first 5 minutes of my shift last night at work making fun of Justin Beiber with two people I work with. It was wonderful. |

Hi Sarah! That sounds like the best start to a workday (worknight?) ever! I was told today by a seven-year-old that rock and roll was boring and I shouldn't listen to it. I turned the radio up louder. It was a bad morning and I was on my last nerve!

When I was a substitute teacher I'd spend 5 minutes of class every class with this particular grade lecturing a group of 13 year old girls on how wrong it is to claim that Justin BIeber is anything out of the ordinary.

A very important lesson! They were lucky to have you around to talk some sense into them and educate them on these important details in life.

Haha, I always do! Born to Run was playing at the time, and the seven year old rolled her eyes. She rolled her eyes at Bruce Springsteen! Can you believe the nerve of her? The five year old was singing along. At least I have one musical ally!

I must confess, though, when I was a little kid I would roll my eyes at my dad blaring his music in the car, and most of it was rock n' roll! That had more to do with the fact that I was embarrassed by him screaming along at the top of his lungs, though. I'd roll my eyes and then secretly go in my room and listen to The Beatles or The Rolling Stones, so maybe she's doing the same thing! |

That's something the little one would do, but the seven year old is just very different. From every other kid. From every other human. Except for me in a lot of ways (just not in music). She is EXTREMELY sensitive/emotional, very caught up in her own thoughts, and has very strong opinions on everything under the sun. Both girls play the violin, but the older one is very accomplished, her music teacher is so astonished by what she can do, and all she really enjoys is classical music. She thinks that rock is stupid basically, just a bunch of noise and words that mean nothing (because she can't apply them to herself). The little one should play the guitar or drums instead of the violin (which she doesn't even like) because she is such a little rocker chick. I hope she rubs off on her big sister as they get older. They are less than two years apart, so they are both big influences on each other.
