Sorry I'm replying to this message so late! Yes, the kids are really good about bedtime. It helps that I've been with them pretty much forever, so there are no surprises. I know the routine, they don't think it's anything out of the ordinary for me to be here, so when I say it's bedtime, they listen. We read a bunch of books, I sang them their songs, and then they went right to sleep at 7:45.

Now I still have about four hours or so to kill before their parents come home. It's too quiet around here! But...lucky me, The Devil Wears Prada is on at 9:00! I think I'll watch that. Anybody want to watch it with me?

Long boring day....At least my sport is back.

ahh, that's nice! it's like last weekend when i had overnight jobs. i fed the dog, and she mostly wanted to play in the backyard by herself, so i got paid to hang out basically!

That's a pretty good deal! Usually when I work at night like this, I don't get paid any extra because I am salary up to 40 hours a week. It's kind of weird, but it works out great for me because even if I work way less, I always get paid for a full week (unless I ask for a day off or call in sick, then I get paid an hourly wage for the time I did work that week). If I work over 40 hours though, I get time and a half. I think I will be getting about 4 hours of overtime for this week!

So what are you up to tonight?

I was wondering what was up with that too. Are you just throwing random capitalizations into your sentences, Jimmy, or does your computer do it for you?

i'm not up to much tonight! i had talked to my friend yesterday about going out tonight but she's not answering my texts today. i can't blame her, though, i am awful at answering texts! people always give me crap for it. sometimes i go for hours without looking at my phone, and that is always when people call/text.
so yeah, long story short, relaxing at home. i've gotten to be a real homebody lately!

So have I! I spend so much time during the week running around with the kids and taking care of things at work, that on the weekends I tend to stay home and try to relax (not easy for me!).

I'm pretty good at returning phone calls and texts because I always have my phone with me (for work, which dictates my life!), but I am terrible about returning emails! I think I owe emails to at least three or four people right now, one since Christmas. They just get pushed to the back burner and I forget about them. Then I feel bad.

Sometimes I feel like I'm an old lady! It's very scary! Then someone will mistake me for a college student or card me and I feel much better. Most of the time I feel like a housewife of sorts, but I'm not married and the kids aren't technically mine. I have a very weird life!

I know! I am trying to do better with the emails, but I am the worst procrastinator! Luckily my friends and family are very understanding with my...eccentricities. Yeah, let's go with eccentricities.
