Because it was created as a thread for a reason, a public announcement if you will. Things like that are less fun when in the constantly moving, giant spam thread.

Not only was Steady now steady now the person who asked me to reduce my signature, but he was also online when and after I created the thread. He didn't seem to care a whole lot about it, why would you?
