If you're a big fan of The Weakerthans check out front man John K. Samson's solo record called "Provincial". I've given it more than a few listens so far and I can't get enough of it. Also, if you've never heard any of The Weakerthans stuff I suggest you jump into that also, ASAP! He's starting a tour soon in US/Canada and you should definitely check it out.

No more Weakerthans / John K. Samson fans here?
You should really check them out! Here's John live in Vienna earlier this year:

Just heard them about a month ago...wow, what a great band. Eclectic sound, and some of the most intriguing lyrics.

Saw him again at a Coffee shop in the middle of no where Ontario just over a month ago. He played in the size of a classroom and was one of the most intimate shows I've ever seen.
Can't wait for more Weakerthans/Samson.

I can't thank you enough for reminding me about this. I heard When I Write My Mater's Thesis all over the radio earlier this year, and meant to check out the album, but it completely slipped my mind.
I'm a big Weakerthans fan, and pretty stoked to finally hear this album. Thanks again for the reminder
Btw, hi everybody. Long time lurker, first time poster.
