Revival Tour Zürich - 9.10.11

I'm guessing this will be one of the least documented concerts, because quite frankly most swiss people have a shit taste in music. I'm really excited though, seeing as it's technically my first proper concert. Let's hope it's one to remember.

Pretty funny. I've actually met Brian and Ian before, but I've never seen them play. Long story short, I couldn't make the gaslight concert, but I managed to hang with them beforehand.

Oh wow! At least you got to meet them though right? Hopefully you'll make the concert as well this time!

Holy shit, that was amazing! Managed to hang out with Jon Gaunt for a while before the concert, got Brian's pick, I was so close I could touch the mic stands.

I got a picture of the setlist, but my phone doesn't want to upload it. Brian played

And the Gaslight songs everybody played were Great Expectations and The '59 Sound.

Oh yeah, and Brian recognised me and my friend from when we met him a year ago (!), so he gave us a massive grin and an exaggerated wave in the middle of boxer.

Best moment was either Old White Lincoln, which the whole crowd knew the words to, Brian talking about being kicked out of high school, or Dave saying that I knew what I was talking about, after I was the only one to respond to him talking about The Loved Ones.

Brian does have great stage stories!

It was also pretty awesome when Franz Nicolay took Dave's guitar and played Jeff Penalty and got the whole crowd to sing the whoa whoa whoa part.

He also said that he was once on a road trip in Pennsylvania with a female companion, who stopped driving at some point, got out of the car, walked into a forest and came back out, without saying a word. He thinks she killed somebody, and that's what I witnessed a crime is about. He stopped playing before the whole "I just went crazy from he heat" part, and said that that was about her doing the unspeakable deed.

That's crazy! I wonder what really happened that day in the woods of PA... Whatever it was, great story to go with a great song.
