Jimmy, stop thinking like that. Snap yourself out of it and think about things that make you happy. Trust me on this when I say it works, I've been there, I know.

Nothing is gender exclusive in my experience. Everyone is equally frustrating and annoying.

I know I've said this before- weeks and weeks ago... direct honesty with yourself and others (this doesn't mean be a jerk) is the only way to go if you want successful relationships with people! Whether you want to just be friends, friends with benefits, or life mates... just say it.

Ok fine JimmyB. Romance sucks. You'll always be alone. No girl will like you. Every date you go on will land you in the friend zone. So now what will you do with your life? OMG- will you actually...survive and find other ways to make yourself happy? SHOCK!!

If you think you're a failure because you're single, then that means every single person is a failure. Do you think the rest of us that are single are failures at life? HMMM? *gets frying pan ready*

On a different note, does anyone else get annoyed by the fact that you can go on for months without finding any person romantically interesting (or in range/worth the hassle) and apparently the other way around, and then as soon as you start dating and really liking a certain somebody, all of the sudden you get noticed and virtually swarmed by every girl (or boy) that you suddenly find immensely attractive? Sometimes I'd wish that romantic interests would spread themselves out better over the year.

Posted that because it is a valid question and because I want to balance out all the insane negativity going on in here. I like girls, woo.

Yeah, man. I know what you mean. It's almost like once you start dating someone others realise that they're actually interested in you and you get all this pointless attention.

No I really do not believe that Romance sucks, I am just stating what the general idea is around here, in this thread.

It seems that most of this thread is about how you think that romance sucks, so I'm very much of the opinion that you think that romance sucks.

That's not how it works, man. You can't force yourself to suppress those thoughts. The easiest way is to distract yourself with different, unrelated thoughts.

There are so many beautiful things in the world. Stop being such a whiner, wake up and look around you man, jesus christ...

I'm sick of this thread.

You can lead a camel to the water but you can't make it drink.

We've all given you so much advice and what not, please go see a therapist and help yourself.

Doing the same thing over and over isn't going to do anything, you've got to make changes if you want to be happy.

Romance doesn't suck. Being single doesn't suck. Going after a best friend's ex-gf months after they broke up sucks. Playing victim sucks. Feeling sorry for yourself sucks. Complaining relentlessly even though practically everyone has asked you to cut down on the negative talk sucks. All of us post so much in this thread because we're trying to save you from yourself because we've all been through bad times during our hunt for a good mate and want to help someone else. But at this point I think we all just like to hear ourselves talk. Boooo

You know what? I'm sick of this thread too.
Mad

*grabs Steph, Harbortown, etc. and makes a run for it!*

Seriously. Just try to focus on something else other than getting a girlfriend. Give yourself a break from the pressure of finding someone. You'll be happier.
