| From what Ive read, it seems like "I believe jesus Brought us together" is generally towards the bottom, which is way opposite for me. Honestly might be number 1 right now. Easily the most vocal driven track on the record. | |

I noticed the same thing. It has moved up a little on the list for me after listening to it dozens of times, but even though I absolutely love it, I love some of the other songs even more. I think the really slow tempo is what prevents it from not being my favorite, but the lyrics are amazing.

I was just saying the same thing about myself. I can't get enough of this album! I think I had all the songs memorized in two days. We might have to start a support group for addicts. Hi, my name is Elsie - oops - I mean Shannon... Ha. Yea, I'll be right there with you!

| 1. Go tell everybody and Blood Loss (Love them both...stand out for me) 3. Black betty and the moon 4. Behold the hurricane 5. Crush 6.Ladykiller 7. Mary Ann 8. I witnessed a crime 9. Cherry Blossoms 10. Sugar 11. Last rites (although I do think it is a perfect start to the album) 12. I believe Jesus Brought us Together (I don't know why, I just can't really stand this song, pretty sure it's the only song of Brian's I've heard that I haven't really liked and doesn't seem to be growing on me...) Other than Blood loss, go tell everybody and Jesus, they were really hard to rank.... 3-11 I changed like 100 times, so overall an excellent album | |

| I don't know how you guys do this! I've been looking over this thread for a few weeks and still think ranking the songs on the album is nearly impossible. As someone else said, the record should really be listened to all the way through, and that's how I typically listen to it. I love this album so hard, it's a little ridiculous. Here's my attempt. The top 8 really should all just be clustered into the single top spot. 1. I Believe Jesus Brought Us Together - I had to list this one at #1 because I kept seeing it listed in that very bottom spot. I guess I'm the oddball, but I loved this song immediately. This was not one that had to grow on me. I completely lost it when I heard this song for the first time, and it effected me more than any other track. I actually can't listen to it at times because I'll start crying, which I don't believe was the intended effect they (or Brian) wanted to have with this song, but that's how it works on me. :/ 2. Blood Loss -LOVED this one right off. It's so (sorry) fucking good. I have nothing else to say about it. 3. Sugar -Again... LOVED this one immediately. There's something about this song that is so incredibly sexy to me, which is a little odd considering the meaning behind it, but oh my my. 4. Cherry Blossoms -And again... I LOVED this one immediately. This was the exact vibe I was looking for with this album, and I wish that Brian would do some more songs like this - THANK YOU IAN <35. Ladykiller -Also loved this one immediately, and still do. Everything about it is brilliant. Nothing else to say about it. 6. I Witnessed A Crime -This one was my biggest change on the entire album. It took me maybe 5-10 listens for it to grow on me, and it was easily in my bottom cluster. I have no idea why I wasn't digging it, because it's always reminded me of "Watching The Detectives" and I loved that. I think there was just something about it that didn't catch me. Now I've been listening to it constantly and it's definitely one of my top favorites. 7. Go Tell Everybody -Unlike everyone else, I actually wasn't crazy about this one the first few listens. I mean, I liked it, and I LOVED the way it ended, but it didn't catch me on that first listen like some of the others. I thought that was very interesting, because it seems like with most people I've seen comment that was immediately their top song. It's easily one of my favorites now. 8. Behold The Hurricane -I was unsure about this one the first time I'd heard it (before the album came out). Once I'd worked out the lyrics and given it a few listens it really grew on me, and it's easily one of my favorites. The lyrics are basically what makes me love this song so much. 9. Last Rites -I'm only putting this towards the bottom because it's the intro. I love everything about it, especially that very first time I played it to listen to the album. Wowza. 10. Crush -I wasn't so sure about this one the first listen or two. I loved the way it ended, but I wasn't so sure about the rest of it. It's definitely grown on me as a whole, but it's not necessarily one of my top favorites. 11. Mary Ann -I'd heard this one before the album was released and loved it immediately. Interestingly enough, since the album has come out, it's now probably one of the songs I listen to the least. No idea why. Ha! 12. Black Betty & The Moon -Seems I'm in the minority here, but I never really cared for this song. It's probably the only song on the album I have never really got too excited about, yet I still honestly enjoy it. When I first heard the preview I was a little worried about the album, because it just wasn't what I expected. I love the lyrics, just the song itself wasn't quite what I'd imagined when I learned about this project. I will say that after hearing the full version I liked it much better, but it's still probably my least favorite, if I had to choose. ** Joey - I didn't rank this one since no one else did, and technically it's a cover - but I just have to say I am loving this track. And sorry for this being a zillion words. | |

| This is one of the few albums (and the only album I can remember) that I very rarely skip around. Only if I'm itching for a certain song. Otherwise, the whole album plays through. If I'm in the car and only listen to part of it, I pick up right where I left off...even mid song. The only thing I do often is replay a song twice in a row. Gaslight will be the money maker, but based on Elsie, I think THC is where Brian Fallon is really going to hit his mark with songwriting.
1. I Witnessed A Crime (the first song on the album that really grabbed me). 2. Black Betty and the Moon 3. Ladykiller 4. Behold the Hurricane 5. Blood Loss 6. Sugar 7. Cherry Blossoms (beautiful guitar work) 8. Go Tell Everybody 9. Crush 10. Mary Ann 11. Last Rites 12. I Believe Jesus Brought Us Together

| After trying to think about this for awhile...I think I finally narrowed it down: 1. Behold The Hurricane 2. Sugar 3. Ladykiller 4. Crush 5. Go Tell Everybody 6. Black Betty & The Moon 7. Cherry Blossoms 8. Blood Loss 9. I Witnessed A Crime 10. Last Rites 11. Maryann 12. I Believe Jesus Brought Us Together But, they’re all SO good! It’s hard to pick an order of favorites. Although, the top three are definitely my top three. | |

| Instead of trying to choose decided that I'd let the amount of plays on my iTunes be the decider. Hard to believe IBJBUT is that low on my play list!
1. I Witnessed A Crime 2. Cherry Blossoms 3. Crush 4. Blood Loss 5. Sugar 6. Behold The Hurricaine 7. Lady Killer 8. Last Rites 9. Go Tell Everybody 10. Black Betty & The Moon 11. I Believe Jesus Brought Us Together 12. Mary Ann

I'm pretty sure that more slide guitar was one of things that they guys mentioned when they were talking about what they could possibly do for the future, so there's hope.
