| I know, I know. The name. BUT: some of the coolest stuff I've heard from the punk world in years. They come from Nashville, a scene you should check out if you haven't already. For some reason the Nashville bands come to Philly all the time, so I've seen DP twice this summer and they're a great bunch of dudes in addition to being a really good band.
Their first EP is up for download for free (thanks to the band, not illegal filesharing) and they've since put it out on vinyl in addition to another short EP and a full-length coming in September. Just a tad surfy, with lots of shredding, but still poppy. Blatantly juvenile, yet bittersweet in tone, too.

Incidentally, the LP is coming out on Infinity Cat Recordings, a Nashville label, but the first EP was done with Evil Weevil Records, a Pennsylvania label. | |

| Their set at Governors Ball this year was insanely fun. These guys put on one helluva show and have a blast doing it. | |
