| Very reminiscent of Bring It On, except for the bridge.
If this would be TGA I would believe it.

| A nice, catchy rock song, it reminds me of the songs on The Rising by Bruce Springsteen.
It's not an immediate shocker and heartbreaker like Black Betty & The Moon is, but I'm sure I'll grow to really love it. As with everything else by Fallon (except for Sink & Swim).

I thought I was hearing that but was telling myself I wasn't.

| It also sounds very early-U2.
I agree it will probably grow on me, which isn't to say that I hate it now. I'll just need some more listens to fully get all the lyrics.

| I thought there songs were supposed to be listened to as a collection and we shouldn't listen to one track here and there? | |

| That early review from the other thread said this is the "most Gaslight" song on the record, so I think that's a good sign. I like this a lot, but it does indeed sound like a Gaslight track, specifically a slightly sped-up "Bring It On." The preview of "Black Betty" was more in line with what I was expecting. So I'm looking forward to the rest of the tracks falling somewhere between these two sounds. This one's really catchy, as has been already said. I love the transition into the second verse. Can't wait for the entire album … | |

| Catchy song. It's that kind of rock songs that I learned to love listening to Bruce Springsteen' s most recent albums, like "The Rising". But Mr. Fallon sounds only like Mr. Fallon. And this song it's a little jewel | |

| After being in a relationship for close to 7 years and then having that relationship crumble before you within a matter of a week, songs like these make me misty eyed. | |

| I love it! Is this going to be the single then with a video to go with it? Can't wait to hear the rest of the album though from this and Black Betty its not as far removed from Gaslight or as Tom Waitsy as I was expecting - really good so far tho! | |

| I'm thinking more and more you can take Brian out of the Gaslight Anthem, but you can't take the Gaslight Anthem out of Brian.
Of course, an album full of Gaslight esq tracks under a different name is still a fantastic album. I was just kinda hoping for an album with a completely different vibe. Who knows, maybe the whole think will surprise us =)
