Love this, especially Brian's cadence in the verses. I've been excited for this since the first mention, but didn't know exactly what to expect (despite Brian's numerous comparisons). But this is it. Of his previous work, reminds me most of "Italian Lightning." If this piece is any indication, this is going to be a great record.

One thing I was worried about is he would make the album sort of intentionally weird, just for the sake of being weird and different. But this isn't like that at all. It's quite beautiful.

So we have the first preview up for you now, it's from a song called "Black Betty & the Moon."

Wow. Gorgeous. I was extremely excited for this album and now that excitement is tenfold.

Though it is kind of weird to only release a 1:39 clip especially since Brian said himself the album and it's songs are meant to be heard as a cohesive arrangement. But whatever. Beggars can't be choosers!

I was a little disappointed at first, but it's gotten better with every listen. Can't wait for the single.

The first time I heard it it reminded me of Cant Cry Anymore by Sheryl Crow ... No pun intended ... But it sounds great anyways...

Absolutely amazing. Nothing like I expected, but it still blew me away. The revival tour is going to be the concert of a lifetime I love the touch of piano and how his voice seems a lot more relaxed than usual.

I'm an album man, so I'm not quite sure what to make of this yet. The track sounds like it's building up to something, which we don't yet get to hear. Maybe that's where the violins and the brass come in. The single should define things more clearly, especially if it is meant to be a showcase for the whole album. The teasing continues.

Fantastic track, loved it instantly. I was honestly getting tired of Brian's tropes, telling us how the album would sound like X meets Y blended with Tom Waits meets Z resulting in a sound darker than The Darkness' and None More Black's combined.
All wiped away. I want to hear more songs! Granted, it sounds very much like TGA, but that isnt't quite a bad thing, is it? I'm excited for vinyl pre-order options.

I like it but I agree with the above post it's not too different from TGA and I think it could esily fit in on a TGA album.

I'm an album person also so not sure how I feel about this preview.

The thing is that it sounds similar to TGA. If I wasn't a diehard fan than I wouldn't know the difference.

This is incredible! I think this album has the potential to be my favourite of all Brian's work. Such a shame the clip only lasts 1:39, really could listen to this all night. Thanks for the Youtube repeat link!

I will fall all over every little bit of sound that is even remotely related to this album. No retreat no regret etc. I love it.
