| The Gaslight Anthem have been on a roll since the release of last year's American Slang with numerous festival appearances and praise from Spin, Rolling Stone and NME. The band isn't ready to slow down yet with their upcoming headlining appearance at this year's Bamboozle Festival and more overseas touring this Summer. Frontman Brian Fallon talked about their recent stop at Soundwave Festival, performing at this year's Bamboozle Festival and gives advice for bands wanting to hit the road.
1) The band recently performed at the Soundwave Festival in Australia. What was that experience like?
Australia's great, I went surfing, we hung out with all our buds at soundwave, h20, social d, polar bear club, foxy shazam, trash talk,it was awesome! Like summer camp!
2) The band performed a new song called "Biloxi Parish" in Australia. What's the meaning behind the song?

| I really wish interviewers would ask better questions instead of:
How do you like touring?
What music are you listening to?
What did you eat from breakfast?
How much does your dog shed?

| I'm personally kinda tired of the question "So what do you think of *X country* so far?"
I mean what do they expect to hear? OH IT KINDA SUCKS I DON'T THINK WE'RE COMING BACK, REALLY

- There's nobody I'm dying to work with right now, except maybe Tori Amos, but that's it right now.
I would love to hear this. At her best, Tori Amos is mindblowingly superb.

I mean what do they expect to hear? OH IT KINDA SUCKS I DON'T THINK WE'RE COMING BACK, REALLY That would be hilarious. Or if they said: Q: "Do you like being in a band?" A: "Not at all. Sometimes I wish I worked 9 to 5." Q: "Which of your albums is your favorite?" A: "Definitely not the one we're out promoting right now. Don't even buy it."

I would love to hear this. At her best, Tori Amos is mindblowingly superb. This blew my mind. I had no idea Brian was a Tori Amos fan. Though it doesn't surprise me. I'm going to need Brian or Gaslight to cover Tori. (unfortunately, and I say this as someone who LOVES Tori and has seen her a truly embarrassing number of times live, she hasn't been at her best for several years now)
