My New blog

Hi All

Have just started writing my own blog - the main aim of which is to try and generate some sort of a music scene/culture in the town where I live (Leamington Spa -UK- yes I know you've never heard of it!)

Anyhow as an off shoot I also intend to put up some CD/ Live reviews/ general musings on life, rock n roll etc so thought some of you may be interested

Have just done my top 10 of 2010 - includes Gaslight, Blacklist Royals, Fake Problems, two cow garage etc!

I've heard of Leamington Spa - I go to college there , but I live about 20 minutes away.

It's a nice blog buddy. Head is a cool place! though they don't have much of a range of vinyl in, sadly.

I live in Rugby, a short drive away from Leam really.

Aaand... well I'm not sure about any particularly cool places you probably haven't already seen, haha.

Of course there's The Assembly for gigs, though we don't get as much as other places like Birmingham come to play this way. I think that's just about all I can think of that relates musically

I lived for a couple of years in Warwick and used to go to a cool record shop just under the bridge at the bottom end of Leamington - my guess it went a longtime ago.

Back in that day - the very late 80s we used to have to go to The Hummingbird in Birmingham for any decent gigs - Faith No More etc.

Down by the Mersey - I think the Hummingbird got changed to the Carling Academy, which then got changed to the O2 Academy, which then got knocked down and rebuilt down the road with a similar layout but much bigger size.

So much change!!
