| [EDIT: the revised ARML has now been posted at https://thegaslightanthem.forumotion.com/audio-f6/audio-rips-master-list-revised-t2784.htm - Please post comments, corrections, etc. in this thread here.]For my 1,600th post, I thought I'd tackle a big issue, the forum's Audio Rips Master List, which is in sore need of updating. In fact, I think the list should be reposted from scratch in a new thread and the old thread retired (ie. locked). Ove the last two years, a lot of boots have been posted in that thread and elsewhere on this forum, but the main list has rarely been updated. In addition, many of the links in the original list are now dead. So, for fame and glory, who would like to volunteer to put together a brand new Audio Rips Master List? A list of boots is on my own site (although I've been told recently I am missing some) and this could form the basis of the new list (even if it took me ages to figure out some of the correct dates and venues). The new list could also be divided into categories and should ideally be in date order. URLs should be shown separately from the concert/session name, rather than being linked as at present. This will also make it easier to first work on in as a textfile and then paste it into a new topic. So, comments or volunteers?

| i don't mind taking care of this, as long as someone gives me hand so this means that if the links are dead, we should reupload them, right? | |

so this means that if the links are dead, we should reupload them, right? anyone willing to help Bea? (by the way, Bea, did you just volunteered to oversee the list ?) and 'yes', if the link is dead and you can't find a working link anywhere, then it woudl be great if one of the ARML volunteers could upload it again

| That's a great idea! I'd be happy to help ... although I'm millions of miles away of being an expert on the existing boots ;o) @ Bea: I'm kind of busy at work at the moment but we can start with putting the complete list together right now, OK? I'll pm you my email address ....

| ok, ladies, as you are so keen, you may as well go ahead with it when you have compiled your new master list, incl. links, post a draft in this thread for people to comment on , before I post it in a new ARML thread any boots for which no links are available can be uploaded to a new free account somewhere | |

| Hi, the new list is absolutely awesome, well done Bea, Enola and Steady, but there's one suggestion. With the boots from dimeadozen, if they were converted to mp3 and then uploaded to megaupload or mediafire it would be a lot easier. Thanks. | |

| Well, since I was working today anyhow I did what I can do on the other PC ... so here are some alternative links with mp3s in zip files, all renamed and tagged.
Zoe Club, Milan, Italy - 24 Feb 2009 - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=L0REZQCW Novarock Festival, Austria - 19 June 2009 - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CYF1K6IN Irving Plaza, NYC - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FZQ8FER0 Taubertal Festival, Rothenburg, Germany – 15 Aug 2010 - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1FSHA7VG Festa di Radio Onda d'Urto, Brescia, Italy - 18 Aug 2010 - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FJM3Z62O Northern Lights, Clifton Park, NY - 26 Sept 2010 – http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IIB1BMV1 The Arena, Vienna, Austria - 7 Nov 2010 - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7GQ1SZ74 Manchester Apollo, UK - 20 Nov 2010 - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0WHM7WBN
Alexander, would you please be so kind and replace the links in the new ARML thread?
My Torrent programme is having some serious problems right now so I couldn't work on those three: The Stone Pony, Asbury Park, NJ - 8 May 2009 - The Tavastia Club, Helsinki, Finland - 3 June 2009 - The O2 Academy, Oxford - 29 June 2010 - Maybe someone else can help with these?

| Yeah I see, it would be a heap of work, maybe we could just request people to reupload them if they have already downloaded them from dimeadozen. | |

Megaupload sharing site shut down
Megaupload, one of the internet's largest file-sharing sites, has been shut down by officials in the US. The site's founder and others have been charged with violating piracy laws. Federal prosecutors have accused it of costing copyright holders more than $500m (£320m) in lost revenue. The firm says it was diligent in responding to complaints about pirated material. Investigators denied a link to recent protests against proposed piracy laws, according to the Wall Street Journal. On Wednesday, thousands of websites took part in a "blackout" to protest against the Stop Online Piracy Act (Sopa) and the Protect Intellectual Property Act (Pipa).
