looking at the links to the photos , is Alex R a Bowie fan ?

This is probably the most excited I've ever been for a record release.

David Bowie? not really a fan of his...I can respect it....but I have no bowie on my iTunes.

true....Bowie was my hero even before Bruce, its a pitty he seems to have retired , i think his health scare finished him from touring and making music.

starman 7" was the first record i ever bought , many moons ago. Think i was about 10.

Besides Gaslight stuff, I've got Mellencamp's scarecrow album, Down The Road from Fogerty, Greatest hits from Neil Young, Greatest hits from Bob Seeger, and almost every Springsteen album on it. As well as a few country albums....oh and Mumford and sons.

I know alot say they are anticipating this release more than any other before, and I am as well. But honestly, it almost feels surreal. Crazy. I'm not sure why

I'm thinking this is gonna get released June 26'th after looking at calendar. Now there on Major there should be better promotion, but we all know this is gonna leak early because of the heavy anticipation, and seems like lately everything is leaking a month and a half early, Menzingers, Alabama Shakes ha leaked two months early. But 99 percent of us on this forum will buy atleast the lp and like myself i Have atleast two copies of each record and cds for the past two and all the 7 inches. But the anticpation is killing me, but the new Lucero, Sharks, Cheap Girls, will tide me over. And to think Gaslight, Green Day, and Against Me coming this year!!!

Given Gaslight's bad luck with leaks in the past, I'm hoping thats at least *one* thing being on a major label will fix. Granted S1D managed to keep Elsie under wraps so maybe a major label isn't needed for preventing leaks and they can just redo whatever they did for that =)

Elsie was leaked dude. I think it leaked two weeks before release date.

I'm kind of hoping I have the willpower to avoid a leak even if it does happen. And previews too. Listening to the 90 second previews for the Elsie songs took a lot away from that first listen for me.

Since were on the subjects of leaks, and the album is finishing up being recorded, i figured i should mention this.

No one under any circumstances is to post links, offer, or ask for, the leak of the album- if one should appear. This site has always has had this rule and anyone disobeying this rule WILL BE BANNED - you have been warned. Even if you bought multiple copies of the album the rule is still in effect.

It only leaked after they sent out vinyl copies to the pre-order people and then put a stream up online. It was only like the weekend before the proper release date though.

Yeah it was a lot different than American Slang which leaked in April when it wasn't due out until June.

Wasn't offering to post a future leak, and I haven't done so in the past, just pointing out what's inevitable and also unfortunate, but it's the way the way it works now, in regards to albums leaking. sorry if it seem'd otherwise. I know the rules and enjoy this forum.
