I know most of us on this forum are punk rock fans but god damn Cat Power rules. She has such a sexy voice. She does amazing covers also and she kicks ass live.

I love Cat Power! Most of my friends have never even heard of her. I love her remake of Sinatra's New York, NY and Dylan's Dark End of the Street!! Chan Marshall is so talented!!

The new album is very different in style...more like synth pop...stilll good. very listenable.
I just posted a cat power song in SPAM today... Handsome Boy Modeling School Feat. Cat Power - I've Been Thinking. Dunno why it says "feat" as it's only her on vocals. It was on the HBM album, so they must have produced it. Check it out. It's a good bedroom tune.

I've never actually heard anything but her "I Found a Reason" cover, but she has a hauntingly beautiful voice.
