| Just got into this band, the new album 'Speaking In Cursive' is pretty rad.
They remind me of The Holdy Steady a bit, not a bad thing.

| I also just got into them, and I can not stop listening to them! Good old rock n roll with a voice that smoked too many cigarettes and drinking too much whiskey. An excellent album | |

| 1: Chuck Ragan "Open Up and Wail" 2: Brian Fallon "The Blues, Mary" 3: TGA "The Navesink Banks" 4: TGA "Red at Night" 5: TGA "Blue Jeans and White T-Shirts" 6: Lucero "The War (live)" 7: Johnny Cash "Hurt" 8: Bruce Springsteen "The Ghost of Tom Joad" 9: Cobra Skulls "Cobracoustic" 10: Fake Problems "Oh Maria" 11: Jason Mraz "I'm Yours" 12: Joe Strummer "Johnny Appleseed" 13: Bob Marley "Redemption Song" 14: Lucero "Nobody's Darling" 15: Glen Hansard "Falling Slowly" 16: Against Me! "We Did it All for Don" 17: Against Me! "Pints of Guinness Make You Strong (acoustic)" 18: Street Dogs "Final Transmission" 19: Bruce Springsteen "Devil's Arcade (and secret song after)" 20: Against Me! "Graceful Concession" 21: Against Me! "You Must Be Willing" 22: Aimee Mann "Jacob Marley's Chain" most of these songs are just a guy and a guitar... and it goes great with Blue Label for any of you that know what Blue Label is. | |

| Stumbled across this band tonight and they really rock Hints of Gaslight and dare I say it Bruce Springsteen but probably more of a country/americana feel to it i.e they sound very much like Lucero (another cool band esp last album) More thorough review at http://ninebullets.net/archives/two-cow-garage-sweet-saint-me http://www.farcethemusic.com/2010/09/rgr-two-cow-garage-sweet-saint-me.html Have downloaded this new album (bought!) and last one as well enjoy | |

| Listening to the new album now. It's really good.
Fans of Lucero/Gaslight/Springsteen/Tom Waits should take notice.

| Just heard the song 'Jackson, Don't you worry'. and its an awesome song. The influences mentioned in above posts are obvious in it and its got great lyrics too. I highly recommend you check it out. I can't get on You Tube where I am though to post the link.
I'd be interested to hear what you guys think the song means.
The singer seems to be singing the song to the son of his best/ childhood friend. Im trying to decide if his best friend has died or is in no fit state to look after his son so the singer is reassuring his son. Talking about the memories he has as a way of ensuring this kid remembers his Dad in a good light.
Thats one theory
The other is that he's just singing to his friends son, period but that doesn't make as much sense to me.
Would be keen to see what you others think. You will love this song!

| Jackson Don't You Worry is a song Micah (TCG Singer) wrote for Shane's (TCG bass player) newborn son. You're correct in the assumption that Micah and Shane are best friends and have been together in Two Cow Garage for the past 10 years. | |

| Thanks Man, its cool song, sounds a little like Fallons pre-Gaslight stuff. I relate too because my friends are all getting married and no doubt having kids soon so its got that nostalgia, looking back at when you used to party and have fun without a care for this future responsibility | |

| No problem. I kept seeing this thread pop up as a referrer in the ninebullets.net logs and just assumed someone else would answer your question. Today, I finally decided no one else was going to and registered an account. Micah is an amazing songwriter and I know the Gaslight guys are big fans of Two Cow. If you wanna check out some other really good songs from these guys check out (i'd post links but they won't let me) these songs on YouTube:
American Static Should've California No Shame Skinny Legged Girl and Postcards & Apologies
A quick perusal of ninebullets would quickly prove that I am a HUGE Two Cow Garage fan. Hell, I even booked them to play my wife's 30th Birthday Party. If you like GA (and why would you be here if you didn't) and Two Cow then you might wanna check out this little band outta Colorado called Arliss Nancy...they have the Gaslight nostalgia mixed with the raw TCG emotion with a sprinkle of Tim Barry sound down to a art.

| We played with TCG in London in July. They're a great, hard working rock'n'roll band and fantastic folks too. Highly recommended! | |

| I just found this band recently. Some of the best songwriting I've heard in quite a while. I got "Sweet Saint Me" - what are their other good records? | |
