| i think it sounds more like the record when tuned down just half a step, but it's definitely easier to play down a full step. for half step down, you have to use full barre chords, but for full step down, you can use standard chords (formations of C, Am, G, and F). this is what Brian does live
looking back, i wish i did all the tabs tuned a full step down, since they play them live this way. the only reason i didn't is because i've had past experiences with Streetlight songs where people got upset that it wasn't in standard tuning. because of this, i tabbed all the Gaslight songs as close to standard as possible

| Ahhk, thanks JB. Usually with your tabs I just write the chord shapes out on a sheet, as it would be if it was tuned down. So pretty much every song, I have it tuned down a full step and just play these standard chord shapes : C, G, Am, F, an occasional Em thats almost it. | |

| i play it with a capo on the third fret and play G, Em, D and Cadd 9 shapes. I think unless you want to play it along with the cd its best trying to find your own way of playing it. Thanks for putting these up by the way, much appreciated. | |

| Yeah I use a capo sometimes myself, but thats just cause it's easier to sing. You can also play the song C, Am G and I never did find out what the 4th chord was in that progression, its the same as the Gaslight Anthem Unplugged video though | |

| When ive played it like that the 4th chord is an f chord (not barred). I think somebody put that up before actually. | |
