Gaslight Anthem Fall US Tour 2010 posters

The latest Gaslight Anthem posters are up on my Facebook page for their Fall US Tour.

If anyone knows how to put them here feel free.

They wanted something very different from before and Brian mentioned zombies. Zombies are awesome and with several references to love and stitches this seemed like the best solution. We did two versions - Faceplant and Facelift. The Faceplant version is at the shows and the Facelift version will be available later for charity. Support the band and look for something special at the Radio City Show.

That's pretty dark compared to their last sets of posters. I'm not sure how I feel about it. Solid work as always though, El Jefe.

As much as I love Jeff's stuff on the whole, I'm afraid I'll give this one a miss.

Agree with others...pretty creative stuff if you like that...but not my style..like the vintage, nostalgic ones much more.

By the way, it's interesting to compare this with the poster for the October show in Houston. Similar theme and colours (design by Shelby Hohl - not sure if it's an official poster though or if it's even been printed).

I like it, if I go to a show I'll pick it up. Is it supposed to be like she is pulling "heart strings."

i think it is awesome.

I think the new poster is great! I like graveyard related scenes in tattooing, so zombie girl's appeal to me. It's not my favorite style/imagery within tattooing, as I prefer neotraditional/traditional pieces, which work well with any medium.........stuff like pirate ships, daggers, roses, skulls, webs, pirate/gypsy girls, different kinds of birds, and so much more!!!

El Jefe, if you're reading this, are there any copies remaining (original or variant) of "The Queen of Lower Chelsea" poster (Pedal Printing Crazy Horse Series)? I would love to purchase one of those!

had to make the joke. i like the poster a lot. I just dont have room on my walls cause theyre taken up by all the other El Jefe posters haha. hoping my brother will be nice/be able to get one for the radio city show. Jeff, wanna give us a hint at what we could be dealing with?

The Radio City Music Hall poster will be an extension of this poster. The design is a different direction for sure. I think it appeals to radically different aesthetics - people who like last years work don't dig this one yet a lot of people are coming out liking this who didn't like the other ones. At least it is something knew though I have around 50 sketches that went unused (though The National likes them...).

Pedal Printing is supposed to be releasing the Queen poster soon. I am eager to see it as well. My only payment are a bunch of copies so here is hoping they turnout well.

Interesting. I suspected that the Queen of NY print would have been turned into a Radio City poster. In any event, I'm really looking forward to having posters for Irving Plaza and Radio City . . . interesting bookends for this tour.

Yup, really happy with this one. Totally DC-centric. Waited a long time to do a Souls poster. The show is the day after my birthday and I can't wait. I was particularly happy with the Bad Brains/DC Flag mash up.

prefer the face lift one compared to the more ugly one personally, the colours are ace though. love the way the tour posters are progressing, my favourites were definately the more vinatge ones though looking forward to see where the zombie theme goes next!

the colors of these new posters plus the zombie design just reminds me too much of all those neon colored zombie-ish posters and shirts of any crappy emo-ish band whose merch you find in hot topic. i dont mean it as an insult, particularly because el jefe is on this forum, i just mean it reminds me personally too much of those other things, and i prefer the last few gaslight posters he's done, but like he said, people tend to prefer one or the other.

Like or dislike, the zombie poster is now for sale on my site in both the Faceplant and Facelift editions. A perfect companion to the latest ones.

re: my last post. i didn't mean to sound like a dick. i did not mean to say the posters were bad, just that my personal association of those design elements made me relate them to those things.
