Ok, so I don't know if anyone already knew about this but there is a documentary about The 'Mats coming along slowly but surely called "Color Me Obessed". They're asking for donations to help with the production.

I do. It got some great reviews add great people who they interviewed for that film (Brian Fallon, Craig Finn, Husker Du guys, Tommy Ramone, David Mineha). And the weird part: no band members, no music. But that is just the way the director (Gorman Beckhard) wanted it. And maybe because of that the film has got so great review, because its not just basic "VH1-kinda-documentary". Dont know.
And the rules again but google Color Me Obsessed and you find the website and trailers and stuff.

I just recently got into The Replacements. I absolutely love Alex Chilton!

oh, cool, thanks! i looked it up online to see if you could buy/watch it anywhere, but all i could find were the dates and cities they had showings of it. i guess i missed that whole post you linked to, too, probably cause it was a small concert in NYC, i didn't bother looking in to it! did you go??

I only got tix for the concert portion so I didn't get to see the film (couldn't get out of work that early).
