| are you being serious right now? since i'm guessing you are, i'ma let you in on a little secret: Once Upon a Time is a song originally by Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise, and TGA covered it as the iTunes only bonus track for The '59 Sound. and that myspace page is not run by Brian or CRT (who broke up in '04), it is run by a board member (i wanna say scott...? not e6c, the other one). not sure why he put OUaT up on this page, though
not only that, but Brian is not singing Once Upon a Time in that video. he is singing Arthur Conley's "Sweet Soul Music"

| haha very true.. i just put it up in case anyone wanted to add it to their page.. cuz at the time (im not sure anymore) there werent any OUaT's on myspace.. and hey i put up that Nine Crimes cover from X-sessions Brian did.. its great, haha so if any of ya'll wanna add it to ur profs go for it! lol
great quality vid from that area 4 but too, but man what a dead show, thats the least into it ive seen the boys.. but of course its hard on a biggass stage like that (that was a wee bit bigger than they were prolly used to lol) when the crowd is just kinda chillin at a fest like that cuz they dont know the band and stuff.. and also like Benny said in that quick interview on youtube: over there they dont go apeshit like most kids do in the states.. they are more focused on the music than moshin and shit.. benny said sometimes the crowd will just seem like statues but after the show giv alot of praise and buy merch and shit so whatev..
ha i love that song too.. and the interludes they do live.. except for this one brian skipped the bit from the jeffersons theme.. thats my favorite part "as long as we live! its you and me babe! there ain't nothin wrong with that! so meet me tonight.."

| Five Year Plan steals a line from Cold Cold Ground. "Bring your darling with you, babe" or something like that. don't know if anyone else noticed this | |

| There don't seem to be any Five Year Plan lyrics so here's what I hear (as in i didn't find these on the net its just what i hear when i listen to the song) Pretty sure about 3/4 of these but the ones I'm not sure of i put in italics. If you guys help me I'm sure we can figure out the full correct lyrics.
Five Year Plan
Blow your foot off on the gasket You ain't dying today But take the rings off your fingers If you take the sad train Don't burn the matches You'll want to stay alive It's real cold where you're going
And its freezing on the pavement as I'm weaving through the streets I've been long since out of high school so I got nowhere to be I could never handle college so I grind my knuckles down I got to make these six strings sing babe
Well it's a long dark road and there are landmines that explode Under many of the steps that you take But who am I to sit here, blessed but distressed I should be screaming out baby I'm alive 'cause I've come this far and I've got this many scars So I cannot stop trying now No I can't, I cannot stop trying now
So put your foot to the pedal You're lagging behind Jumped straight off the short peer And never saw a line And everything's a dead line When you're trying to find some sleep What I wouldn't give to close my eyes
And it's cold in the windows So you move to the doors And you live off the ceiling When you're bored of the floors And you passed off the problem To get some cash to put down Well I hope the money comes in someday
And it's a long dark road and there are landmines that explode Under many of the steps that you take But who am I to sit here, blessed but distressed I should be screaming out baby I'm alive 'cause I've come this far and I've got this many scars So I cannot stop trying now No I can't, I can't stop now
And it's a long dark road and there are landmines that explode
Under many of the steps that you take
But who am I to sit here, blessed but distressed
I should be screaming out baby I'm alive
'cause I've come this far and I've got this many scars
So I cannot stop trying now
No I can't, I can't, no no.... |

| Very well done, the only thing that I disagree with is that I believe the first line is, "Don't you put out a casket." This seems to fit well with the next line. Other than that it looks good. | |

| yeah, it's definitely "south train" not "sad train". and the first line is either what talley said, or something like "Though you pull out the casket" | |

| awesome, that's why i said it what I hear and not something precise, talleys line does fit really well so good job. South train makes sense too. To be honest I was half drunk when I wrote that post so i'm amazed its as precise as it is |

| I asked Brian at Asbury Lanes last year if they'd ever play Sweet Delta Blues and he said no, never. So they're probably never going to touch any of his old bands' material, sadly. | |

It'll blow your mind! | |

| My computer is fine after downloading all of the "former band" stuff. Getting the Cincinnati Rail Tie material is going to be legal because the songs are not commercially available, meaning they're not being sold on a cd by the band. You won't find download links here for ANY stuff that is being sold by the band/a band. All the links to downloads you'll find on the forum are going to be legal.
I highly suggest the CRT songs. They're beautiful.

| I'm pretty sure that's the one I used to get them. I think it was only the Surrogate McKenzie stuff that I simply googled for and took a gamble with a random sendspace or mediafire link, and even that was fine. I think that was before they redid the audio rips master list and the links to those albums didn't work anymore... I don't quite remember the scenario there, it was a while back.
All the links in that post should work, since a few people recently went through and tidied it all up.

| all links on the audio master list should be working now. if you find one that's dead, tell us (https://thegaslightanthem.forumotion.com/t2762-help-needed-with-the-ds-audio-rips-master-list) and we'll upload it again | |
