| Look what I found!
I would've just posted this in the thread in the News section, but I'm not allowed to post there.
The Blues:
About: Sometimes you get wrapped up so far into the negative that you can't apreciate the good any more due to your own bitterness. Once you do, you realize you'd do anything to get out of it.
Lyrics:
Well I been downhearted baby, ever since the day we met. So I hid behind all those old songs, baby how blue can you get...
And the smoke filled my lungs like I was dying, And the summer sunset kissed my fingertips.
So someone grab my wrists and pull me out of this, Take my money, take my wallet, take my shoes. Get a good, good hold of me and pull on the count of three, Just do whatever you've gotta do... Do what you gotta do.
And it's cold outside on a Monday. Maybe that's the weather's sympathy. We hate the traffic and the tax forms, and our day jobs... What ungrateful men are we.
What, then, do I do with all these feelings, All the anger, all the there, but Grace, go I.
Scene Of the Crime:
About: Broken relationships mixed with watching Law & Order 24/7...
Lyrics:
Let's let the investigation start. Let all the interrogation tear us apart. Let's see you explain your fingerprints in the chalk And your meeting in the dark. And let's unveil your greatest alibi. As I watch you return to the scene of the crime. Let's ask all your witnesses That will swear that you were somewhere else that night.
And I will lie awake and mine eyes won't rest, I'll seek out the clues, may my efforts be blessed. I'll follow the trails till I find all the proof that I need To relieve this ache from my chest. And the enemies I've gained will plot their revenge, They'll plan out a path with a price on my head. As you point your pretty finger at my evidence to blow me away.
And know, I never wanted this We both deserve "the flames" And if they dusted deep enough, they'd find every last one of our names. But remember it's just me.
As you flee the scene of the crime.
And the officers will smile as your gypsy eyes persuade the trial. As the prosecution rests just because it began to cramp your style. And the jury, found hung in the room. Heavy with the trail of your perfume And a wink in your eye that says "Boy, I will be coming for you soon..."
And your heart will lie to you... As you flee the scene of the crime.
Edit: And I edited a bunch of typos in the lyrics...maybe Brian's not the sharpest toothpick in the box?

| Just been listening to This Charming Man - She Coulda raised the titanic. Is it Brian singing? It really doesn't sound like him at all. | |

| it IS actually too good.. i mean hes got sm great lyrics there... he could even rewrite parts or smthin.. but it could be classic TGA idk but it would be a nice treat to see em spontaneously play smthin old like that live.. i would be jealous of anyone who was at that show-if i was not myself.. i love sweet delta blues too.. from charming man.. that song is legit | |
