Damn dude. Your Crush cover is perhaps on the rough side, but it's really damn good. It's raw, I dig it!

Thanks man. Rough vocals or what? Or just in terms of being stripped down?

Vocal sound, up-tempo guitar, timing and delivery of some of the lines. Rough as in natural, human, you made it your own. Good stuff.
Makes me want to take some singing classes ^^

On a different note, I remembered there were some amazing covers and songs posted in this thread years back, so I've been re-reading the older pages. However, to my disappointment, Holland's old soundcloud profile is no more, which means that his whole batch of amazing covers is no longer available. Sadface.

Looks like he's removed practically everything. Ain't that a shame.

LOL at the beginning of your video. When you're talking. Southern, maybe? I'm from Canada (apparently I have an accent too though) so it's noticeable to me.

Ok so apparently I am an awful accent-identifier...haha Regardless. It sounds fancier than what I normally hear, so I appreciate it all the same

Hi guys,
I am brand new to the site and wanted to post a cover my girlfriend and I did of She Loves You.
We did this one night in Logic, recorded all the parts in one take for fun. Let us know what you think! If you guys like it we'd love to hear what you think we should try covering next.

Not bad at all, dude. I guess in the choruses I would try to make the singing more dynamic, i.e reach some louder notes every once in a while, other than that a very solid cover. I enjoyed it.

Thanks, I tried to sing it more acoustic way even though we recorded all the instruments... but I'll do my best with the next one, which should be ready in few weeks.
I'm super glad you enjoyed it, means a lot that anyone took the time to give it a shot.
Thanks again

So I sat down to record a really simple cover of Have Mercy, i.e vocals and guitar in one track. I did do that, but then I added like ten layers of other stuff like pianos and harp drenched in reverb, choirs in the background, little bits and pieces here and there.

Selected Poems! But adjust the lyrics a bit:
Jimmy B, he say I got too much sympathy. But I can call him anytime... Jimmy B, how have I hurt you? C'mon tell your blues to me.. etc. etc.

Thanks, man. That really means a lot.
