I like it! You have potential to have a great voice, I think you just need to sing out more. It kinda sounds like you're bored while singing.

I actually think you've got a really nice voice, and I'm not just saying that.

However, like Sarah said, you might want to think about putting some more passion into it because you're in a pretty low key throughout the song, and I feel like some variation would really lift the whole thing.

I just used a midi keyboard and used a Yamaha Piano preset added a bit of reverb and chorus, when i add any piano figures i always just play octaves, The National do it all the time and it is pretty easy for a non-pianist like me to play.

For a senior year project in high school I recorded an acoustic song and I did the same thing, it really does add a lot of atmosphere.

Wow Shaun, I REALLY liked that cover. It sounded so good, so professional, and so honest. All of the recordings you post are like that. I believe every word you are singing like you wrote the lyrics yourself. That's a real gift.

This was really good! I like your voice. Like someone else said (Sarah maybe?), the performance could use a little more energy, but all in all it was great for your first time singing for people. You have no reason to be shy about your singing, especially around us! I hope you post another cover really soon!
